Gary Miller

Born:

Jazz vibraphonist Gary Miller, playing a combination of original compositions, jazz standards, and contemporary jazz, created his musical niche in the region of western Massachusetts. He built his style on a lifelong relationship with music of many genres from classical, rock, country, to Broadway shows, film, and “international” music, as well as his focus on jazz.

Along the way he has made music on several instruments in addition to the vibes, including many years as a professional drummer in a variety of musical settings (The Evergreen Tea Room Electric Band, Wild Country Band, Jazmin, Big Six Jazz Band, Berkshire Big Band, Back Bay Bones, et al). Additionally, he has made music on brass instruments (Williams Brass Ensemble, et al), electric bass, guitar, and keyboard.

Stephen Lynerd

Born and raised in New York, Stephen completed a M.M. in Music Performance from the University of Maryland, College Park. During a pursuit of Doctoral work in New York, Stephen picked up and moved to Dallas, TX where he worked in the music ministry of a large church and founded The Jazz Package, a versatile collection of musicians who still work together today. Following some time in California, Stephen settled in Chicago, where he continues to work as a church music director, and freelance musician and recording artist. Stephen and his wife Deborah live in Bolingbrook, IL.

About the Artist Jazz vibraphonist, marimbist, and composer Errol Rackipov holds a Bachelor's degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and a Master's degree from the University of Miami. While in Berklee, he studied with the great vibraphonists Gary Burton and Ed Saindon. Along with his bands "Dream Hunter" and "Groove Culture" Errol Rackipov has performed throughout Europe and the United States with such greats like Terence Blanchard, Bob Moses, Herb Pomeroy, Marc Eagan, Kenny Werner, Ratzo Harris, and Paquito D'Rivera. He has been working as a professional musician, composer and producer in various styles of music from Jazz to R&B and has participated in numerous projects throughout the world

Sasha Berliner

Sasha Berliner is a musician, composer, producer, and band leader from San Francisco, CA. Sasha started playing drums at eight years old. She pursued a jazz emphasis at her high school, Oakland School for the Arts, where she picked up the vibraphone at age 13. She is an alumni of the SF Jazz High School All Stars Orchestra and the Banff International Workshop in Jazz and Creative Music. She headlined festivals like the Atlanta Jazz Festival, NYC Winter Jazz Festival, and the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival, by the age of 19. In that same year, she was deemed one of SF Jazz's 10 Rising Female Instrumentalists for 2018 and was featured by Hot House Jazz Magazine, The SF Jazz Education Center, PBS News Hour, NPR, NBC Boston, and The New York Times for both her musicianship and her activism

Roger Burn

A native Southern Californian, Roger Burn was a multi-talented musician; a master vibraphonist, pianist/keyboard player, drummer/percussionist, singer, composer, arranger, meticulous music copyist, band leader & music publisher. He possessed perfect pitch and began playing the piano by ear at an early age. He began his career as a drummer, starting at the age of eleven. By the time he was fourteen, he quickly picked up the piano and soon after, the vibraphone. He began practicing two hours a day, working his way up to five hours a day, at one point. He insisted on keeping his windows closed, even in hot summers, (with no air conditioning) as he was concerned - “I wouldn’t want someone walking by on the sidewalk to hear me while I’m practicing.” He was a perfectionist. Grace grew up in Minnesota playing violin and piano from age 5 until 12. She picked up percussion in school band where she learned the vibraphone, and fell in love with the instrument in high school. It was after this that she then decided to apply to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Grace is now pursuing a performance degree from Berklee and is in her 5th semester.
