Chien Chien Lu

Chien Chien Lu is a jazz vibraphonist, contemporary percussionist, and composer from Taiwan. She recorded on trumpeter Jeremy Pelt's latest record “Jeremy Pelt The Artist” and toured with the band to France, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, and UK. Daniel Walzer

Born: February 2, 1977

Daniel Walzer is an Indianapolis-based multi-instrumentalist, composer, and audio engineer. Originally trained as a percussionist, Walzer’s recording discography includes more than two dozen albums as a session musician, engineer, and producer. A versatile collaborator, Walzer’s performance credits span a wide range of commercial and art music styles and include a five-year stint living in Nashville, TN. As a composer and collaborator, Walzer’s work has been featured at the New York Electroacoustic Music Festival, the International Computer Music Festival, New Music on the Bayou, TUTTI New Music Festival, and labels including Janus Music and Sound and others. Walzer has a BM in Jazz Studies from Bowling Green State University, an MM in Jazz Studies from the University of Cincinnati, and an MFA in Music Production and Sound Design for Visual Media from Academy of Art University

Oliver Mayman

Born: November 20, 2001

From Ann Arbor, MI, and now based in Philadelphia, Oliver Mayman is a vibraphonist, composer, and educator. Beginning on the drums and piano, the vibraphone was an apt discovery as a teenager – the instrument essentially fusing the mechanics of drumming with the harmonic capabilities of the piano. He has since become a distinguished voice on the instrument, reimagining its role in music through an inventive technical approach and a discerning creative ear.

He has performed as a bandleader across the Midwest and East Coast at storied venues like Cliff Bell’s, the Blue LLama, and Chris’ Jazz Cafe, and has also been featured in several larger, iconic events like the Detroit Jazz Festival and the Percussive Arts Society International Convention. Additionally a sought-after accompanist and sideman, he has performed in countless other venues with various groups, and aims to play the vibraphone as a suitable alternative to the piano, capable of fully assuming a rhythmically and harmonically supportive role in any setting.

TRi/O is a collaborative groove-based contemporary jazz & funk outing from three like-minded New York musicians: Steve Shapiro on vibraphone and mallet keyboards, virtuoso 5-string bassist Dave Anderson, and drummer Tyger MacNeal. A unique concept and original repertoire sets the group apart in the genres of jazz, percussion, and electronic music - especially through experimentation with customized live-loops and the electronic mallet controller, allowing the band to explore progressive new territory. Stu Katz

Born: June 9, 1937

Stu Katz has been a working jazz pianist and vibraphonist for more than 70 years.

Over his long career, he has performed in numerous public venues with young and old bebop luminaries including Gene Ammons, Gary Bartz, Kenny Burrell, Joey DeFrancesco, Dexter Gordon, Bunky Green, Roy Haynes, Milt Jackson, "Philly" Joe Jones, Clifford Jordan, Russell Malone, James Moody, Zoot Sims, Sonny Stitt, Ira Sullivan and Phil Woods.

Stu has played piano or vibes at the Snowmass Jazz Festival, in twelve different Chicago Jazz Festivals and on six jazz-themed cruises on Norwegian Cruise Lines. In 1990, he toured Italy and Switzerland as the pianist in a quartet led by a long-time collaborator, alto saxophonist Bunky Green. In August, 2010, Stu played piano and vibes in a quintet co-led by another long-time musical partner multi-instrumentalist Ira Sullivan at Joe Segal's Jazz Showcase in Chicago. A live recording of those performances titled A Family Affair - Ira Sullivan and Stu Katz - Live at Joe Segal's Jazz Showcase was released on September 20, 2011 on the Origin label. In August, 2012, Stu opened the Chicago Jazz Festival playing vibes in a duo setting with pianist, Willie Pickens, a third long-time collaborator.

In April, 2015, when Joe Segal was honored with an NEA Jazz Masters Award for Advocacy, a quintet was assembled to play a tribute to him at the Awards Ceremony held at Lincoln Center in New York. Stu was the pianist in that quintet, joined by Jimmy Heath on soprano saxophone, Ira Sullivan on alto saxophone, Ray Drummond on bass and Jimmy Cobb on drums.

Jonny Mansfield

Born: May 16, 1996

Born in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, Jonny Mansfield grew up surrounded by music. His parents are both musicians and played a mix of Classical and Jazz around the house. Jonny followed in his older brothers footsteps attending Chetham’s School of Music. This led him to being part of the National Youth Orchestra, Verbier Festival Youth Orchestra and National Youth Jazz Collective. Jonny went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music with Jim Hart, Joe Locke and Pete Churchill, where he gained a BMus 1st class degree. He has performed at many prestigious venues with respected musicians including Chris Potter, Gareth Lockrane and Yazz Ahmed

Christos Delasito

Christos Sitokonstantinou is a classical percussionist. Jorge Stark

Born: September 13, 1977

Drummer/ Vibist from Uruguay - SouthAmerica Multi-instrumentalist, producer and educator, from Montevideo (Uruguay), with more than 25 years of professional experience in different groups, projects, as an outstanding drummer on the music scene in his country. His background includes classical percussion at Montevideo University School of Music and specialization courses in pop and jazz in the US at the Manhattan School of Music and The Collective Institute in New York City. From 2012 to 2017 he participated as a teacher, coordinator and academic advisor of the Jazz Camps program at Solís Theatre (Montevideo) and directed workshops with great guest artists such as Wynton Marsalis, Jazz at the Lincoln Center Orchestra, Bobby McFerrin, George Garzone, among many others.
