He has performed and recorded with a diverse range of notable musicians, including Grover Washington Jr, Kenny Barron, Eddie Henderson, Cecil Taylor, Dianne Reeves, Ron Carter, The Beastie Boys, the Münster Symphony Orchestra and the Lincoln, Nebraska Symphony. Long known to be a soloist capable of stunning physical power and broad emotional range, it was not until the last decade that he emerged as the composer, bandleader and conceptualist that he is considered today. This is in no small part due to his solo projects of the last decade

Chie Suzuki

Chie Suzuki: Mallet Keyboard player (Marimba/Vibraphone/Mallet KAT), Arranger CHIE SUZUKI, originally from Japan, studied at Nagoya College of Music in Aichi, Japan. She worked extensively doing live performances before moving to the United States. From 1999, Chie resided in the United States. While studying at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, she was active not only in Jazz and classical music but also in various kinds of music, such as Latin and World Music. Chie's recent awards include: The Third place at the Memorial NACO Percussion International Challenge in1999, The Most Active Mallet Player Award at Berklee College of Music, Diploma d'onore at the TIM Corneo Internazionale di musica. She has performed with Victor Mendoza, Casey Scheuerell, Ernest Diaz, Joe Galeota, Bernardo Hernandez, Fred Lipsius, Vic Firth, Rafael Alcala, Akiko Fujimoto, and Pedro Ito, Luis Valle. Presently she has been actively involved in studio recording projects and live performances around Boston.

Coming from the “four mallet school,” Ed Saindon has developed and continues to refine a pianistic approach to mallet playing which involves a consistent utilization of all four mallets along with a variety of dampening techniques. Saindon has absorbed and transferred the influences from the piano lineage that stretches from Waller and Tatum up to the present. Originally a drummer, Saindon began playing the vibraphone along with piano while attending Berklee College of Music in Boston from 1972-1976. Winner of Rising Vibes in 2007 and 2008 by Down Beat magazine, Sherman’s recording in 2005 “One Step Closer” featuring Joe Lovano was in the top ten on jazz radio for 12 weeks in the United States. The recording in 2007 “Family First” was the most spun CD in the United States in it’s opening week on the charts, and his most recent recording done live at the Bird’s Eye Jazz Club in Basel, Switzerland at the close of a 2 week European tour, is entitled Mark Sherman Quartet “Live at The Bird’s Eye” and continues to get rave reviews and big radio response. Tied in with most of Sherman's live performances (clubs, and festivals) is a 2 hour master-class on language skills for improvisation, usually done at the local music school or university music department, and sponsored by Yamaha and Vic Firth Co." Christian Tamburr is a multi-instrumentalist, accomplished on the piano and trapset as well as world and orchestral percussion. However, his true talent is exhibited on his instrument of choice, the vibraphone. Confirmed in May of 2001 when in their annual poll of collegiate age musicians, Downbeat Magazine awarded him "Outstanding Solo Jazz Performance". Christian is currently a member of the critically acclaimed Noel Freidline Quintet, a five-piece acoustic jazz group as well as the Grammy Award winning group The Dazz Band. Now 23, Christian first started performing jazz at the age of 14 and has since had the opportunity to work with many jazz legends including, Ira Sullivan, Clark Terry, James Moody, Benny Green, Bucky Pizarelli, Kevin Mahogany, Nicolas Payton, Art Van Damm, Slide Hampton, Bob Mintzer, Tom Kubis, Milt Hilton, Dick Hyman, Bob Haggart, Mark Murphy, Eric Marienthal, Marcus Printup, and Bunky Green to name a few. Principle musical activities in high school included Band and Orchestra at Howe as principle percussionist . During that time , Robert was active with All City and All State orchestras as Principle percussionist and with the Butler Youth Symphony where he also held principle position . During that time he began to broaden his percussion skills with other instruments including Vibes and Piano and Tympani . Pascal Schumacher

Pascal Schumacher was born on March 12, 1979, in Luxemburg. He starts his studies as a percussionist at the classical music department of the Conservatoire de Musique de la Ville de Luxembourg (L) and obtains the Prix Supérieur in 1999. In 1996 he is accepted at the Conservatoire National de Région de Strasbourg (F) (teacher: Emmanuel Séjourné) where he receives the diploma for “Specialising Keyboard” in 2000, with congratulations from a unanimous jury. From 1997 on he studies with jazz vibraphone player Guy Cabay, first at the jazz department of the Conservatoire de Luxembourg, where he obtains the Prix Supérieur with distinction in 2001, later at the jazz department of the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles (B), where he obtains a bachelor degree in June 2003
