Chie Suzuki

Chie Suzuki: Mallet Keyboard player (Marimba/Vibraphone/Mallet KAT), Arranger

CHIE SUZUKI, originally from Japan, studied at Nagoya College of Music in Aichi, Japan. She worked extensively doing live performances before moving to the United States. From 1999, Chie resided in the United States.

While studying at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, she was active not only in Jazz and classical music but also in various kinds of music, such as Latin and World Music.

Chie's recent awards include: The Third place at the Memorial NACO Percussion International Challenge in1999, The Most Active Mallet Player Award at Berklee College of Music, Diploma d'onore at the TIM Corneo Internazionale di musica.

She has performed with Victor Mendoza, Casey Scheuerell, Ernest Diaz, Joe Galeota, Bernardo Hernandez, Fred Lipsius, Vic Firth, Rafael Alcala, Akiko Fujimoto, and Pedro Ito, Luis Valle.

Presently she has been actively involved in studio recording projects and live performances around Boston.
