Ty Turner

Born and raised in Philadelphia Pa., studied music in the philadelphia school systems. My first instrument was the baritone horn which taught me the bass clef. My musical mentor was Frank Loper who was the main influence on my teachings. It was he that introduced me to the art form. When he took me to meet the musicans of the philadelphia orchestra is when i fell for the acoustic bass . The bassist for the orchestra taught me the important things about the bass. At the time i could not afford a acoustic bass , so i applied his teachings to the electric bass. I also started taking lessons from a local musican who at the time was much in demand
