Dave Nelson's parents were both musicians, his mother a pianist and his father a trombone player. He started his professional career in Seattle at age 19. In his early 20's he opened for Eddie Peabody, Jack Ross, the Gay 90's show in Tacoma, Wash. He appeared on the Katherine Wise Televsion show and also the Moore Theater. Dave played often with Dave Friesen and also with Bob Pelland of the Phoenix Jazzers. Within the last few years Dave has opened for Bobby Hutcherson, John Stetch, Macio Parker and has also opened for The Temptations. He is known in New York city for his technical and lyrical playing. His recent cd, "32nd Street" recorded with Joel Frahm on tenor, is a must hear for all jazz lovers

Johannes Walter

Trumpeter Johannes Walter has been an important and valued exponent in
Switzerland‘s jazz scene for many years. He has made a name for himself as a
subtle instrumentalist, committed teacher, reliable arranger and efficient
conductor/bandleader.
A formative member of the Swiss Jazz Orchestra, he was responsible for the
band‘s lasting success by working both in musical direction and management for
almost two decades.
He is currently teaching trumpet, ensembles, theory and ear training at
Jazzcampus Basel and at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern

Ben Neill
Composer/performer Ben Neill is the inventor of the Mutantrumpet, a hybrid electro-acoustic instrument, and is recognized as a musical innovator who blends acoustic instrument performance with digital technologies to create “art music for the people” (Wired Magazine). Through his use of interactive computer technologies, Neill creates immersive musical and visual experiences, melding the worlds of electronic music, minimalism and visual media.
Fourteen albums of Neill’s music have been released on labels including Six Degrees, Universal/Verve, Thirsty Ear, Astralwerks, and his own Blue Math label distributed by AWAL/Sony. Adam Meckler
Born:
Adam is a trumpet player, composer, songwriter, educator, and entrepreneur living in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He is an Edwards Instrument Co. Performing Artist and Clinician and leads the Adam Meckler Orchestra (AMO), an 18-piece big band that plays his original compositions. The AMO's release 'When the Clouds Look Like This' was listed as one of the best jazz releases of 2014 by iTunes. Their 'Magnificent Madness' album was released to critical acclaim on the legendary alt-jazz label Ropeadope Records in 2018.
Meckler's 2025 release "Sampled" is available on all streaming platforms. "Sampled" is a highly collaborative record in which Meckler commissioned seven producers to sample 10 Adam Meckler Orchestra songs and turn them into 10 new songs via collaborations with artists from all over the world.

Jon Crowley

Forward-thinking trumpeter and composer, Jon Crowley was born in Malvern PA, a suburb of Philadelphia, in 1982. He began studying the trumpet at age six with Elin Frazier, a student of Carmine Caruso. While in high school he developed an interest in Jazz and began attending local jam sessions and sitting in with various musicians around Philadelphia. Jon spent the next four years attending Muhlenberg College, studying Jazz with Charles Fambrough and John Swana. After Graduating with his B.A. in Music, Jon went straight to New York City, where he attended NYU, graduating in the Spring of '07; receiving his Masters in Jazz Performance and Composition

Jan Allan

Jan Allan (* Jan Bertil Allan on 7. November 1934 in Falun) is a Swedish trumpet player and composer. He also a physicist. Jan Allen started his career in the 50's as a pianist, then changed to the trumpet as his main instrument. He joined the Carl-Henrik Norin orchestra. During that time, he also earned his doctoral degree as a physicist. Despite the relatively small discography as a leader, Allen is one of the most important jazz musicians in Sweden. During the 1960's he worked with Arne Domnérus, Georg Riedel und Bengt Hallberg. His album 'Jan Allan - 70' won the Golden Record as the Best Swedish Jazz Recording of the Year by the magazine 'Orkester Journalen'
