Chicago trumpeter and composer Gerald Bailey draws from a wide range of musical styles to deliver a fresh new sound. He holds a Bachelors degree in trumpet from the University of Cincinnati and a Masters in composition from DePaul University. He has performed with The O'Jays, Syl Johnson, Richie Cole, Judi Silvano, Balkan clarinetist Jim Stoynoff and The Walkmen. Gerald has appeared on CNN performing at the White House, alongside Diana Krall in the 2009 movie Public Enemies and on ABC News with actor/singer Michael Ingersoll.

Puerto Rican born/New Orleans native, Michel Navedo was by age 21 an active member of the New Orleans music scene as singer and trumpeter. Since then Michel has acted as band leader/principal player in groups ranging in styles as diverse as Swing, Jazz, Latin Jazz, Jazz Fusion, Brazilian, Salsa, Flamenco and other World music, Hip Hop, Brass Band, Big Band, Symphonic, Indie, Pop, Rock, Dub, and Electronic. He has shared the stage with such diverse acts as Roy Hargrove, Perry Ferrell, Chucho Valdez, GWAR, Randy Newman, and De La Soul. After growing up in New Orleans, Michel lived and studied Jazz Performance in Austin, Texas for five years winning peoples’ choice for best world music band and having the privilege of being asked to perform at the Fiesta Del Fuego in Santiago, Cuba where he stayed on to study Afro Cuban music with the great Cuban trumpeter Maestro Inaudis Paisan Mallet

Forbes Graham is a composer, trumpet player, and electronic musician currently based in the Boston area. He has appeared on over 30 recordings, including studio appearances on such labels as Metal Blade, Tzadik, and Troubleman. Forbes has performed and recorded with a very diverse group of artists, including Erase Errata, Steve Lantner, Daughters, Raqib Hassan, Jim Hobbs, The One Am Radio, and Luther Gray. His composition “Variations on the Fibonacci Sequence” was commissioned by the Greenwall Foundation and world premiered at the 2007 Festival of New Trumpet. Forbes has also written music for the new music/rock ensemble Normal Love

Chuck Fesperman

Chuck Fesperman is a jazz trumpeter. Originally from North Carolina, Chuck studied music at Appalachian State University and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He was a member of the Charlotte Jazz All-Stars. He performed with the United States Coast Guard Training Center Bands in Cape May, NJ and Petaluma, CA. Over the years, Chuck has performed with various bands across the country, including The Memphis All Stars, The Herb Williams Band, The Mob City Swingsters and also with the late Marcel Evans (formerly with The Drifters). Chuck now resides in Dallas, Texas where he performs with his band, The Chuck Fesperman Group

Josh Rzepka

Chicago based trumpeter and composer Josh Rzepka has been featured on NPR, PBS, and has been heard on jazz radio across the country and world. His album Into the Night reached the #9 position on the JazzWeek radio chart and the #5 position on the CMJ Jazz chart. He has been heralded not only for his jazz playing and composing, but also for his classical performances.

In 2019 Josh released his first book with co-author Roger Ingram, titled The Versatile Trumpeter: Duets Vol. 1, a collection of 16 original duets with supporting text and a play along recording. This groundbreaking book has received rave reviews from professionals and students all over the world.

Shane Porter

Mr. Porter completed his Bachelors Degree from the University of Alabama in Composition/Arranging and Jazz Studies. He received a Masters in Music Education from Troy State University and is currently working to become Dr. Porter at Boston University. Mr. Porter has been a professional performer on trumpet and piano since before graduating high school. He stepped on stage with one of Motown’s most famous groups, The Four Tops, in April of 1990, one month before crossing the high school graduation stage. He has become one of the top call trumpet players in the United States since that day. In 1991, Shane moved to Jacksonville, Florida where he became the assistant music minister and staff arranger for one of Jacksonville’s largest churches, New Life Christian Fellowship
