Michael "Gooch" Gurciullo

Mike Gurciullo has been associated with big bands ever since he was a kid in Omaha, NE. All through jr. high and high school he played in the usual school programs, but also worked outside of those settings in professional big bands in the local area. Upon completion of high school, Mike chose North Texas State University for his continuing education. There he got to work with great jazz educators Rich Matteson, Dan Haerle, and Jack Peterson. Outside of the university, Mike studied privately with world famous trumpet virtuoso, Don "Jake" Jacoby. While attending N.T.S.U., Mike formed his own big band called, "The Arctic Muther's."  It was comprised of some of the best young talents in the music program at the time

Max has also become an acoustic guitar slinger and vocalist, writing arrangements for brass quartet & guitar with vocals, and sometimes including piano and bass in the mix.

Trumpeter and Artist, Jay Phelps is a Vancouver-born Canadian with an instantly recognisable warm and projecting tone. He was tutored by the city’s top Jazz and Classical trumpeters and distinguished himself early on as the youngest band-leader in the Vancouver International Jazz Festival’s history. In 1999 aged 17, Jay moved to London, determined to immerse himself in the jazz scene and immediately attracted the notice of Gary Crosby (Dune records), who offered him work with Jazz Jamaica in 2002 and the opportunity to be a 'Tomorrow’s Warrior'. Bryson Barnes

Trumpeter, composer, songwriter, and educator Bryson Barnes has earned jazz degrees from the University of Miami and McGill. He has appeared with a diverse cast of musicians, from Montreal jazz legend Vic Vogel to hip-hop stalwart Slick Rick. He currently leads his own jazz quintet, recently featured at the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival. His debut album "Inner Circle" showcases a deft lyricism as well a sensitive and engaging compositional style. In addition, Bryson leads the indie pop group Bryson Barnes and the New Method. Born in Hamilton Ohio 1954. Raised by Grandparents in Bakersfield California. Grandfather musician in U.S. Army in WWI. Played for John Philip Susa and was later an arranger and orchestra leader. Greg began trumpet at age 8 and was member of marching band, orchestra, honor bands, swing bands, and big band. Wife a professioanal singer throughout Asia. Performed in University of Guam Big Band, Guam territorial band and performed in Carnegie Hall NY, member of Guam Orchestra, a local rock band, and performed in various musicals. Currently residing in Ketchikan Alaska and President of Ketchikan Community Band, member of the Windjammers Big Band, perform professionally with wife in various venues, member of bands supporting various singers and local venues, and trumpet in various musical plays.

Garret Reynolds

Garret Reynolds is primarily a jazz trumpet player and composer who lives in Ventura County, California. Currently a student at Moorpark High School, he has been playing the trumpet for 7 years. During this time he has studied with and performed with many outstanding LA musicians including Jonathan Dane, Pete De Siena, Ira Nepus, Scot Whitfield, Jeff Jarvis, Ron Stout, Bob Mintzer, and Bill Cunliffe along with many others. Among his primary influences are jazz giants Clifford Brown, Freddie Hubbard, and Miles Davis, but he also takes a keen interest in studying modern as well as classic jazz. Bruno Leicht

Bruno Leicht studied jazz trumpet in Cologne from 1985 to 1990 and is an examined music teacher. He is currently mostly active as performer in Cologne and Berlin. He gives regular jazz history classes at the Cologne Music College. Career (a rough overview): After some gigs with local small groups he founded "Blue Seven & The Ghosts" which did several productions for the Bayerischer Rundfunk, the WDR, and some Polish radio station (1988 to 1992). "Blue Seven & The Ghosts" was inspired by Leicht's "private" workshop group which he lead subversively parallel to the official "International Jazz Workshop" in Siena under master trumpeter Enrico Rava.
