NorCal Jazz director, Brian Switzer, is currently leads the Carlmont Jazz Ensembles as the Asst. Band Director at Carlmont High School in Belmont. . Mr Switzer was the director of the Borel Middle School Jazz Band from 2001 until 2012. The Borel Jazz Band regularly performed 14 concerts a year and was selected to participate in the Next Generation Monterey Jazz Festival (2011, 2010 and 2009), the National PTA Convention (2009), was the featured musical group at the National Elementary School Principal’s Convention at Moscone Center (2004), and earned top marks at the CMEA, Folsom, Campana, Santa Cruz and Fullerton jazz festivals. Voodoo fuel is based in Highlands County, FL, by way of Louisville, KY and Albuquerque, NM and everywhere in between. The McDaniel Brothers, K.P. and Tony, started their music journey at a young age. Their father, Preston was a Big Band musician and played most notably with Billy Vaughn’s Orchestra and Jimmy Lunsford. The brothers began touring in their teens with various bands, putting down the miles and paying their dues. Eventually they moved back to their hometown of Louisville with the commitment to write, play and perform original music. The brothers and other talented musicians formed the bands Splatch and Fatt Labb which stayed true to the brothers’ visions for more than 20 years

Greg is no stranger to the music business. He has performed internationally with such names as Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Gerry Mulligan, Louis Bellson, Woody Herman, Skitch Henderson and the New York Pops, as well as a 30-year career as a NY studio Musician and playing in the pit orchestras of the Broadway Theaters. Our Big Band is a hand picked collection and collaboration of some of the finest musicians I know. These instrumentalists (both men and women) are from different ethnic backgrounds and countries residing here in New York City and each bringing their unique personality and musical experience with them. I like to mix up the age groups as well when considering who to offer a chair to in the band

Winner of the 2012 Révélation Jazz Radio-Canada prize, Jacques Kuba Seguin is known for his lyrical as well as his strong modern approach to trumpet playing, Jacques was born and raised in Montreal and fits well its multi-ethnicity. Always reaching for his polish roots Jacques thrives for new ways of approaching the traditional jazz idiom. Jazz Scene has called The Allison Philips Trio “an invigorating listen that probes, as Ornette Coleman did, the line between song and sonic exploration.” The group released their first EP in 2017 and released their first album “Placement and Longing” in 2021. Philips also co-leads the “DeiCont | Philips Collective” a group which Hot House Magazine has called “one of the most exciting emerging groups in NY”

Bacharel em Trompete pela Universidade de São Paulo (ECA-USP), iniciou seus estudos musicais com seu pai, o trompetista Magno D’Alcântara. Atualmente leciona na Escola de Música do Estado de São Paulo - Tom Jobim (EMESP), Faculdade Souza Lima/Berklee. É integrante da "Soundscape Big Band Jazz", grupo com o qual gravou três Cds ("Maybe September", "Uncle Charles" e "Cores Vol.1").
