Jon Blondell

We would like to present Jon Blondell to you. His first solo effort “ALIVE the Elephant Room”, was released on Fable Records in July 2010. It is an enticing album with many tracks that everyone can enjoy. Recorded on February 9th and March 7th, 2010 at the Elephant Room, Mark Sarisky produced and engineered the nine-track album in a manner that puts the listener right there in the Elephant Room on the days of recording. Nick Finzer

Born: May 22, 1988

Hailed as a “Rising Star” in the world of jazz (DownBeat Critics Poll), Nick Finzer is making waves in the music industry with his dynamic original compositions and trombone artistry. Finzer has toured the globe as a bandleader as well as sharing the stage with some of the most respected names in jazz. As both a headlining trombonist and an entrepreneur, Finzer is on a mission to spread the joy and power of jazz.

Finzer's love for jazz began in his childhood, when he became captivated with the music of Duke Ellington. This passion led him to participate in the annual Essentially Ellington competition at Jazz at Lincoln Center, inspiring him to follow his dreams to move to NYC to pursue a life in music. Finzer went on to study at the renowned Eastman School of Music and then The Juilliard School, where he was mentored by trombone legend Steve Turre.

Nadav Nirenberg

Born: November 7, 1985

At 24, Nadav Nirenberg is quickly establishing himself as a trombonist/bandleader in New York City. In addition to co-leading "Ikebe Shakedown", a Brooklyn-based instrumental Afro-Funk group, he's in high-demand as a session player/sideman in the NYC area, having shared the stage/recorded with The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Wyclef Jean, Seun Kuti, Adam Deitch, Streetlight Manifesto, Jose Conde, James Andrews, Brother Joscephus, The Pimps Of Joytime, King Expressers, Zozo Afrobeat, The New Groove Orchestra, Mugwump, Denis Chang and many more artists. Recent venues include The Blue Note NYC, The Montreal Jazz Festival and the TD Toronto Jazz Festival. Nadav is known for his big sound, writing/arranging, sight-reading and versatility, but more for his powerful solo style

Internationally regarded as cutting-edge trombonist and a renown producer, composer, orchestrator and “arranger of the first-class” (Harvey Siders, JazzTimes), Doug Beavers has earned a Grammy® for his work on Eddie Palmieri’s Listen Here (2006) and has performed, toured and recorded with Eddie Palmieri (La Perfecta II, Ritmo Caliente, Listen Here), Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Rosemary Clooney (Sentimental Journey, The Last Concert), Hillary McRae, Brian Culbertson, Mingus Big Band, and Pete Escovedo, and many others. About Mariel Mariel was born in 1988 in the California bay area, a humble home of musicians, artists, organic weed growers and LGBT rights activists. Some of Mariel's first memories were immersed in music. John Yao

Born: June 25, 1977

For almost twenty years, John Yao has been honing his talents as a trombonist, composer and arranger, and cementing his place on the New York City jazz scene. Yao’s lyrical soloing and expressive, round tone, combined with his relentless drive to push the boundaries of harmony and rhythm, have established him as a unique and forward-thinking jazz talent. Yao has earned wide acclaim. In April 2025 he was appointed to the 100th class of Guggenheim Fellows in the field of Music Composition. In 2023, Yao earned a place in both the Rising Star Trombone and Rising Star Big Band categories in the DownBeat Critics Poll.  Lucid Culture proclaims, “John Yao is one of New York’s elite trombonists,” and All About Jazz calls him “a strong compositional voice and effective band-leader able to use his 17-piece band to paint across a wide spectrum and infuse his complex writing with a thoughtful balance of audacity, structure, humor, and sonic might.”

Jeff Galindo

Jazz Musician and Educator Born in San Francisco, California, Jeff Galindo attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts on scholarship after high school. He also studied with Hal Crook, Jerry Bergonzi, and George Garzone with grants by the National Endowment of the Arts and began free-lancing in the Boston area. His experience includes tours of Europe with Phil Woods and Japan with Makoto Ozone, and tours with the Artie Shaw Orchestra. Jeff has performed with such notables as Chick Corea, Clark Terry, Joe Lovano, Buddy DeFranco, Slide Hampton, and Johnny Griffin. He has also performed with Gunther Schuller, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Jerry Bergonzi, Bobby Shew, The Boston Pops Orchestra, and Sam Butera among many others

Since arriving to New York City in 1990 Noah has contributed his authoritative sound to over 50 albums for various artists including Paquito D'Rivera, Mario Bauza, Don Braden and Celia Cruz. Noah's work and contributions have been honored with major industry awards including The Grammys and the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition.
