Anthony DeCarlo

Anthony DeCarlo is a musician from Trenton, NJ. He began playing the guitar at the age of 6 under the instruction of Ernie White. He was exposed to the great roots of blues and rock in Trenton. He played seriously throughout his childhood and wanted to take it a step further. He crossed the bridge to the city of Philadelphia to attend the University of the Arts for Guitar Performance. After graduating, he moved down to South Philadelphia and started Taskerhouse, a community music venue/studio/rehearsal space. In addition to running Taskerhouse, Anthony performs and records throughout the world with a variety of artists, as well as being involved in many original projects.

Alex Otey’s career is a testament to a lifelong passion for music, shaped by early classical training and a love for jazz. As a multi-instrumentalist, his journey has led him to collaborate with some of the most renowned names in the industry and earn prestigious accolades.

An award-winning pianist, singer, trumpeter, and composer/arranger, Otey has performed with prominent jazz musicians and recorded alongside legends like Grover Washington Jr. and Richie Cole. He arranged, performed on, and produced a GRAMMY-nominated album and contributed to another nominated project, as well as a GRAMMY-winning collaboration. Performing throughout Philadelphia, Central NJ, and beyond, he has graced venues such as the River House at Odette’s, the King George Inn, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, World Café Live, and Harrah’s Casino. Highlights of his career include performing at the White House Egg Roll event with Miss Amy, appearances at Bethlehem Musikfest, Lincoln Center, and Carnegie Hall. In addition to his live performances, Otey hosts The Trenton Jazz Show aired though WWFM JazzOn2 89.1 HD2, and received a master's in Music Business from Berklee College of Music.

I was born in 1945 in Columbus, Ohio, the first child of a young pair of "Swing Kids". The radio and 78 rpm phonograph played big band instrumentals and vocals constantly. As an infant I was as familiar with Miller, Goodman, Shaw, Dorsey, Basie, Ellington and The Andrews Sisters as I was with our four room OSU campus area apartment. At age 10 I rented a metal clarinet from a local shop and started the life- long addiction to music. At 12 I began lessons on the clarinet with David Hite. DICK GRATTON started playing guitar professionally in the fifties and has performed primarily in the Central New Jersey area. He has played with many jazz groups and vocalists during the past 60 years at many area night clubs such as the Greenwood Grill, the Mill Hill Saloon, the Tremont Lounge, the Centre House Pub, the Urban Word Cafe and Marsilio's Restaurant in Trenton NJ, the Nassau Inn in Princeton NJ and the Farnsworth House and Bordentown Yacht Club in Bordentown NJ. IN ADDITION to his night club appearances, Dick has performed in concert at the Trenton NJ Mill Hill Playhouse, the New Jersey State Museum and the Jazz and Blues Showcase Series in Medford Lakes NJ, led jazz groups at annual dinners for the American Federation Of Musicians Of Trenton NJ, played at many of Trenton's official functions such as press conferences, annual Trenton Preservation Awards ceremonies and Heritage Days Festivals and played in a six piece jazz group at the 1998 Trenton Jazz Festival at Waterfront Park in Trenton NJ opening for legendary jazz performers pianists David Benoit and Alex Bugnon, Latin pianist Eddie Palmieri and vocalist Oleta Adams with special guest Richie Cole on saxophone
