Giya Kancheli: Themes from the Songbook

Questo particolarissimo CD con musiche del compositore georgiano Giya Kancheli ha una curiosa genesi. Nasce infatti dalla pubblicazione, avvenuta nel 2009, del suo songbook intitolato Simple Music for Piano. 33 Miniatures from Music for Stage and Screen, nel quale Kancheli ha raccolto melodie “d'occasione," scritte per accompagnare appunto rappresentazioni teatrali od opere cinematografiche.
