Vince Mendoza

Born: November 17, 1961

8 Time Grammy award winning composer-arranger Vince Mendoza has been at the forefront of the jazz and contemporary music scene as a composer, conductor and recording artist for the last 30 years. He has written scores of compositions and arrangements for big band, chamber and symphonic settings while his jazz composing credits read like a “who's who” of the best modern instrumentalists and singers in the world today.  

Mendoza's arranging has appeared on many critically acclaimed projects that include dozens of albums with song writing legends and vocalists such as Björk, Gregory Porter, Chaka Khan, Elvis Costello, Alejandro Sanz, Al Jarreau, Diana Krall, Melody Gardot, Sting and Joni Mitchell.  He has 8 Grammy awards and 38 nominations.

Ilaria Capalbo

Born: December 1, 1984

Stockholm-based bassist/composer Ilaria Capalbo’s playing has been described as “bold, visionary, architectonic,” (Lira, SE) and her writing ”lush” (NoTreble, USA). Originally from Naples,  Italy, she regularly works with musicians from the classical world, pop and jazz. Following the international acclaim of her 2022 debut Karthago, her new, upcoming work is inspired by the transformative experience of new motherhood. Tomoko Omura

Born: August 31, 1980

Tomoko Omura is a visionary jazz violinist, composer, and educator whose distinctive sound blends classical technique with the improvisational energy of jazz. Born and raised in Japan, Tomoko began playing the violin at the age of four, building a strong classical foundation. Her love for jazz, however, developed later in her life during her university years, where she became a self-taught jazz violinist, drawing inspiration from recordings, live performances, and her own exploration of the genre. This unique journey led her to become one of the most innovative voices in modern jazz violin.
