Ty Hoying

Ty Hoying lives in Stockholm, Sweden where he works as a freelance musician and as a music educator at Kulturama and Södra Latin gymnasium. He emigrated from the USA in early 2013, shortly after completing a Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas. Ty is excited to bring his style of improvised music to Sweden and the European Union, but he still loves to play for audiences at home in North America, too. She is a graduate of the Royal Musical Academy in Stockholm, Sweden, where she studied classical piano in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Since the late 1990s, she has devoted herself entirely to improvised music, in the form of free jazz as well as avant garde and contemporary classical and experimental music. A versatile player with a singular musical vision, Ullén has repeatedly proven her ability to imprint her absolute sense for tonal texture on whatever musical context she appears in. Internationally recognized as a distinctive and uncompromising musician and composer, Ullén over the last decade has produced more than fifteen albums. Ullén has collaborated extensively with many well-known Swedish artists and dancers, and has also scored several dramatic productions

Pål Nyberg

Born: September 16, 1982

Pål Nyberg is an internationally working guitarist and composer. Over the past few years he has been involved in numerous international projects with collaborators from most parts of Europe, South and North America as well as the Far East. Since graduating the renowned Conservatorium van Amsterdam in 2010, he has been busy traveling, playing with many of the great young improvisers of the diverse jazz and impro scene of Scandinavia and continental Europe.

Stockholm Voices is a vocal jazz quartet with a swinging band. With one foot in the lush soil of jazz, the other in the Nordic midsummer night, the singers offer melodious voicings draped in elegance and charm. The debut album “Come Rain or Come Shine” was released in 2015 and received rave reviews from the press. In March 2023 the singers release their new album - “New Horizon”, a tribute to the fantastic music composed by Sir Paul McCartney during his long career, from the Beatles days until today.

Mattias Ståhl

Born: December 11, 1971

Mattias is born 1971 in Oskarshamn, Sweden and lives in Stockholm. Have the latest 15 years performed at stages around Sweden and elsewhere, focusing on jazz and improvised music. Released two album of his own with his former quartet Ståhls blå ("Ståhls blå" 2001 and "Schlachtplatte" 2004), which achieved great attention from reviewers all over the world. He also composed all the music for this group. As a sideman he contributes in a lot of exciting groups, from projects with the legend Georg Riedel to collaborations with the swedish indie wonder Emil Svanängen aka Loney Dear.
