Chris Nordman - Piano, Electric Piano, Hammond Organ Chris Nordman plays Multi Keyboards, and performs with his own band, and other bands in Michigan, Florida, and surrounding areas. Coming from Classical roots (several years at Interlochen National Music Camp performing on 'Cello), staff organist at St. Hugo in the Hills Church in Bloomfield, Choir Director at Fellowship United Methodist Church in Troy, MI, Chris became a top "on call" musician to back many acts for shows in Michigan in the 1970's on, playing with the Drifters, Coasters, Chuck Berry, Mel Torme', Bob Hope, and many other acts across all genre's During this time, Chris and his "Detroit" Trio and augmented group played regularly for corporate and private events, and house gigs at the Detroit Yacht Club, Detroit Athletic Club, Grosse Pointe Yacht Club, Hyatt Regency, and other venues. He has led the Chris Nordman Group since 1979, playing thousands of events, shows and clubs

Will Boyd

Multi-reed instrumentalist, composer, educator Will Boyd hails from soul sax tradition like artists Eddie Harris, Hank Crawford, David "Fat Head" Newman, King Curtis and Yusef Lateef. Originally from Orangeburg SC by way of Queens NY, Will currently resides in Knoxville TN. He is a member of the Knoxville Jazz Orchestra and currently has 2 solo albums “Live at the Red Piano Lounge” and “Freedom Soul Jazz”. Will also co-leads a group with Wife, jazz radio host, and founder of the Knoxville Women in Jazz Jam Festival Kelle Jolly.

Jakob Norgren

Jakob Norgren is a Swedish saxophonist, composer, arranger and big band leader. Main instruments are baritone sax, tenor sax, clarinet, bass clarinet and contra alto clarinet. He started his orchestra, initially named Jakob Norgren Big Band Splash, in 2004 and first released two albums that mixed contemporary jazz with soul/R&B. From 2010 Jakob let the band develop into a pure soul-jazz/R&B orchestra under the shortened name Big Band Splash, while introducing Jakob Norgren Jazz Orchestra (with almost the same members) where he could refine his contemporary jazz writing. Robert Kennedy

Robert Kennedy plays jazz organ, piano, and accordion in freelance solo and group settings, and is the accordionist in the acclaimed group Mission Hot Club.
Born and raised in the American South, Robert has lived and worked in the San Francisco bay area since 1988. He played piano in the Stanford University Jazz Band and studied jazz piano with the great jazz pianist, band director, and educator Bill Bell.
Robert helped found the groups Hip Pocket Jazz Quintet and Double Funk Crunch, and has had the pleasure of playing venues such as Yoshi's, the Boom Boom Room, the Agenda Lounge (back in the day) and the SFJAZZ Miner Auditorium with renowned players such as Nancy Wright, Calvin Keys, Will Weston, Terrence Brewer, and many more, playing jazz, blues, R&B, and rock and roll.
Among his many inspirations Robert counts the playing of Jack McDuff, Billy Childs, Larry Goldings, Herbie Hancock, and Tony Monaco.

Francis Hon

Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Dr. Francis Hon (洪維浩) began playing classical piano at the age of six. In 2011, Francis moved to the United States to pursue a Doctorate in Piano Performance at The University of Texas at Austin, where he studied with Gregory Allen, the Grand Prize winner of the 1980 Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition. Francis was always influenced by a variety of musical genres, which formed the foundation of his future musical style. Francis ignited his passion for jazz music in Austin, “the live music capital of the world.” While continuing his classical piano studies, he took up jazz piano with Jeff Hellmer and started playing with many musicians on the Austin jazz scene. He also worked as the Assistant Artistic Director and Lead Pianist for “Life in the City,” a weekly concert with jazz music and other genres. Francis’ final doctorate thesis in the work of Nikolai Kapustin solidified his interest in combining elements of classical music with the jazz idiom.

Laurent Doumont

LAURENT DOUMONT is a saxophone player, singer & songwriter from Brussels with a natural inclination for soul and jazz. In the 90’s he took part in Michel Hatzigeorgiou’s tribute to Jaco Pastorius. Around that time, Laurent began a career as a free lance musician, playing in several funk and jazz bands, including some gigs with Fred Wesley.
In 1999, in order to improve his musical skills and culture, he moved to New York, where he took some classes with Chris Potter. He eventually spent two years there, playing and hanging out in jam sessions. When he came back, he played with Boney M, The Gibson Brothers and George Mc Crae during the Disco Night Fever tour. Together with Olivier Bodson and Alain Palizeul, he seized that opportunity to found a horn section which became one the most sought after in Belgium and abroad. Later, a few concerts with Percy Sledge and a musical meeting with James Brown would top their résumé.

He spends his musical time leading bands and writing music while also working as a collaborative pianist, accompanist and educator in both the classroom and private studio.
