Amanda Walther

Amanda Walther (she/her) is a Juno nominated singer-songwriter and award winning composer from Toronto, Canada.

Amanda is the singer in piano/voice duo Dizzy & Fay, performing original songs on a mission to share their heart-forward music with the world. Inspired by the composers of the American Songbook, Dizzy’s passionate piano and Fay’s romantic voice are the perfect pairing; resulting in original jazz songs that sound fresh, while somehow also echoing timeless standards.

Previously, Amanda spent most of her career as half of folk-roots duo Dala; touring throughout North America for over 18 years. She has shared the stage with numerous artists including Arlo Guthrie, Richie Havens, Jann Arden, Tom Cochrane, Stuart McLean of the CBC’s Vinyl Café and has performed in countless festivals like the New Orleans Jazz Festival and the Newport Folk Festival. Dala’s PBS Special ‘Girls from the North Country’ earned Amanda a Canadian Folk Music Award and a Juno nomination.

New York based singer songwriter Juliet Varnedoe developed her musical foundation in the bayou lands of southeast Louisiana surrounded by Cajun French, New Orleans jazz, and Acadian traditional songs. Her years of performance in New York cabaret clubs and swing dance halls solidifies her stage persona as a Cajun French chanteuse, a unique America voice sharing the joie de vivre of the Cajun people. Mon Cheri is the first single release from her debut album Cajun Bleu featuring Juliet Varnedoe Jazz Band. This is a collection of eight original blues and jazz songs which intertwines influences such as classic New Orleans swing of King Oliver Creole Band, French chanson such as Blossom Dearie and Juliette Greco, and the cool electronic vibe of Serge Gainsborough

Roxana Amed

Roxana Amed has released six albums – Limbo (2004), Entremundos (2006), Cinemateca Finlandesa (2010), Inocencia (2011), La Sombra de Su Sombra (2013), Instantáneas (2019) – digitally released by Sony Music Latin, along with one DVD, La Voz Más Allá in 2009. Recipient of the Carlos Gardel Award for Argentine Music and the Martin Fierro Award for best song in a TV production, the singer/songwriter is also known for penning songs for other artists. She has worked extensively with Argentine multi instrumentalist Pedro Aznar, a veteran of the Pat Metheny Band and the producer of Amed’s first albums.
