Brenda Earle Stokes

Brenda Earle Stokes is a rare jazz artist with a true command of both the voice and the piano.  Hailed as “a breezy delight” by Time Out New York, Brenda’s music is rooted in the jazz tradition with influences ranging from Brazilian music to music theater and rock radio.

As a bandleader she has toured clubs and festivals across the US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia and has released 6 albums own her own label.  Widely considered to be one of the top singer/pianists in the field, Stokes is back with her first album of completely original songs.

In her latest album Motherhood, Brenda shares the journey of motherhood with songs exploring identity, fear, expectations, body image, friendship and growth.  Rooted in her native language of jazz, Stokes drew additional inspiration from singer-songwriters, music theater, spoken word and 1960s protest songs.  Each song is richly orchestrated by a four-piece ensemble jazz ensemble which provides an energetic backdrop for Stokes’ material which is at once honest, thought provoking and laced with humor.

Amanda Walther

Amanda Walther (she/her) is a Juno nominated singer-songwriter and award winning composer from Toronto, Canada.

Amanda is the singer in piano/voice duo Dizzy & Fay, performing original songs on a mission to share their heart-forward music with the world. Inspired by the composers of the American Songbook, Dizzy’s passionate piano and Fay’s romantic voice are the perfect pairing; resulting in original jazz songs that sound fresh, while somehow also echoing timeless standards.

Previously, Amanda spent most of her career as half of folk-roots duo Dala; touring throughout North America for over 18 years. She has shared the stage with numerous artists including Arlo Guthrie, Richie Havens, Jann Arden, Tom Cochrane, Stuart McLean of the CBC’s Vinyl Café and has performed in countless festivals like the New Orleans Jazz Festival and the Newport Folk Festival. Dala’s PBS Special ‘Girls from the North Country’ earned Amanda a Canadian Folk Music Award and a Juno nomination.

New York based musical artist Juliet Varnedoe writes and produces innovative Cajun French songs that reflect her pioneering, visionary spirit. She draws from her Louisiana roots to combine Acadian traditional folk songs, electronic French pop, and New Orleans jazz traditions. 

Her years of performance in New York cabaret clubs and venues such as Don't Tell Mama, the Deluxe, Montauk Club, and Pete's Candy Store, solidifies her stage persona as a Cajun French chanteuse - a unique America jazz singer sharing the joie de vivre of the Cajun people.

Roxana Amed has released six albums – Limbo (2004), Entremundos (2006), Cinemateca Finlandesa (2010), Inocencia (2011), La Sombra de Su Sombra (2013), Instantáneas (2019) – digitally released by Sony Music Latin, along with one DVD, La Voz Más Allá in 2009. Recipient of the Carlos Gardel Award for Argentine Music and the Martin Fierro Award for best song in a TV production, the singer/songwriter is also known for penning songs for other artists. She has worked extensively with Argentine multi instrumentalist Pedro Aznar, a veteran of the Pat Metheny Band and the producer of Amed’s first albums. Jesse Fischer is a Brooklyn-based pianist, composer, and producer. Known for his warm, soulful touch and emphasis on melody, groove, storytelling and emotion, his unique voice combines elements of his own Jewish heritage with music of the African diaspora, jazz, hip-hop, indie, and singer-songwriter genres. A two-time ASCAP Plus Award winner, Fischer has performed with many notables in the jazz, pop, and world music scenes, including Mino Cinélu, Sarah Elizabeth Charles, Becca Stevens, Grace Kelly, Lakecia Benjamin, Deva Mahal, and Takuya Kuroda.
