Currently residing in the eastern Los Angeles area, his quartet's debut in 2013 he has quickly gained a reputation as one of the foremost younger creative-music artists in the diverse LA jazz and creative-music scene. Drawing from his eclectic taste and background in classical music and new music, he aims to create music that spans beyond traditional genres under the jazz umbrella, and explores new territory. His melodic lyricism, rhythmic acuity, and a fiery passion for group improvisation takes listeners on a journey beyond listening, and to more deeply engaging in the moment

Critically acclaimed saxophonist Darryl Yokley has been recognized as a very talented composer and arranger by The New York Times, Downbeat Magazine, and more for writing unforgettable tunes for his band Sound Reformation, which has just released their second album Pictures at an African Exhibition. Jazz critic Brent Black described Yokley's playing by saying “Yokley is a critic’s worst nightmare as he side steps standard categorization with ease" and Dave Cantor of Downbeat Magazine said of his recent release Pictures at an African Exhibition that the young saxophonist was "nakedly shuttling emotion through his instrument." However his music and playing are described, the consensus is that Darryl Yokley is an artist with a unique concept and a sound like no one else

Frank Paul Schubert

Frank Paul Schubert is a saxophone player in the realms of Improvised Music and Contemporary Jazz. Born in Neuss/Germany in 1965, he began to play the saxophone self-taught in 1982, took lessons with Lajos Dudas from 1988 to 1992, studied at Musikhochschule Aachen (classical saxophone repertoire as well as jazz) with Prof. Hugo Read from 1992 to 1996, and, after a short interlude in Aschaffenburg/Bavaria, moved to Berlin in 1999. Schubert works regularly with Willi Kellers, Andreas Willers, Johannes Bauer, Matthias Müller, Uwe Oberg, Alexander von Schlippenbach and many more (more detailed list see below!)

Paul has toured the world performing at clubs & hotels and co-led 13 tours to New Zealand. He has released 3 albums under his own name and is active as a performer and recording artist. His latest album The Buck Stops Here was released at end 2012 and his trio toured New Zealand in 2013 to promote his latest album. John Dikeman is an American saxophonist currently residing in Amsterdam. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of sources, John’s playing runs the gamut of improvised music and technique. He is currently active as a member of numerous groups including Cactus Truck, a band made up guitarist/bass guitarist Jasper Stadhouders and Onno Govaert; Universal Indians with Norwegian rhythm section Tollef Østvang and Jon Rune Strøm and often featuring Joe McPhee; the trio Dikeman, Parker, Drake with William Parker and Hamid Drake, and numerous other collaborations including projects with Andrew Barker, Dirk Serries, Steve Noble, Luis Vicente, Alexander Hawkins, Roger Turner, Hugo Antunes, Peter Jacquemyn, Peter Ole Jorgensen, Aleksandar škorić

John has been playing saxophone since the age of 12. He has always had a love for music since he was a child which was apparent since he always carried around a toy guitar with him wherever he went. "My biggest influence on me then was my uncle who played guitar and piano. I would listen to him play all the time. I was hooked immediately." After being exposed to jazz music in high school by his teacher Norman Clo, John decided to pursue a career in music and continued his education at the College of Saint Rose and began his studies with saxophonist Paul Evoskevich.
