Cene Resnik

Cene Resnik(1978), Slovenian saxophonist, improviser with lots of experience in playing creative, free spirited music, with many international collaborations. He lives in Ljubljana, Slovenia. 

Since 1997-2007 he was a member of the slovenian rock group Siddarta, and when completed his  jazz saxophone  studies in Klagenfurt in 2007, then onwards he regularly visited new york for two years for intensive musical studies that got to know the scene and gained first hand stage experience. Between  2007 - 2014 traveled to India above all for study buddhism and doing meditation retreats according to Tibetan tradition - under the guidance of the teacher, Guru. Resnik has been practicing meditation continuously for more then 20 years now. 

Andrew Butt

Born: November 8, 1964

Andrew Butt has been prominent on the Australian Music scene for over 30 years, being a winner and multiple finalist of the Queensland Music Awards. Other accolades include a Churchill Fellowship and performing as a soloist with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. Andrew Butt Trio + has been regularly featured on radio, major venues and festivals across the world including the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz, Le Baiser Salé & Sunset – Sunside Paris, the Brisbane International Jazz Festival, iF Jazz Café Budapest, U Malého Glena Jazz Prague, Tanks Arts Centre Cairns , Bennetts Lane and the Paris Cat Jazz Club Melbourne. Andrew’s compositions have been performed and recorded by a variety of artists including his own groups and the Enthusiastic Musicians Orchestra (EMO) a Brisbane based collective of musicians, composers, and arrangers who are predominantly dedicated to performing new Australian works

Jeff Benedict

Born: September 17, 1958

Jeff Benedict is a Professor of Music Emeritus at the Califoirnia State University, Los Angeles. He holds a B.M. and an M.A. from the Lamont School of Music and a D.M.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a student of Harvey Pittel. He is in demand as a classical recitalist and clinician and performs regularly with the Orion Saxophone Quartet. He has appeared with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, the Pacific Symphony, the Aspen Festival Orchestra and the Tanglewood Fellowship Orchestra. He is an accomplished jazz performer as well, currently performing in the L.A

Vanessa Collier

Singer/songwriter Vanessa Collier’s sixth album Do It My Own Way comes out September 13 via Phenix Fire Records. Recorded on analog gear with the musicians largely in one room, Do It My Own Way is sonically inspired by the classic Memphis soul sound of Stax and Hi Records, especially that of the Staples Singers. Second single “Wild As a Rainstorm,” which dives deep into soul territory, powerfully gives advice to women and people who feel left out to ignore the naysayers and “Be a tapestry of dreams.” The track been added to Spotify’s official Retro Soul playlist. The groove and horns would make Willie Mitchell proud, and indeed features legendary Hi Records organist Rev. Charles Hodges. The vocals are powerful, awe-inspiring, and undeniably soulful vocals.

Andrew Janak

Andrew Janak is the Instructor of Jazz Saxophone at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and active saxophonist/composer/arranger/educator throughout the Midwest and Mountain West.

Andrew has shared the stage with jazz greats Randy Brecker, Jeff Hamilton, Phil Woods and Jimmy Heath. Recently he has worked with some of the Midwest’s finest jazz musicians such as Mitch Towne, Marcus Lewis, Peter Schlamb, Nebraska Jazz Orchestra, Bob Lark’s Alumni Band Band and the Tom Matta Big Band. Andrew has several creative projects specializing in original music such as the Andrew Janak Organ Trio, Andrew Janak and Wind Armada and the Andrew Janak Octet

Jory Tindall

Jory Tindall is a creative professional currently based in Seattle, Washington, breaking down the boundaries in both creative improvised music and forward-thinking visual design. He seeks to not only pay homage to past creators through a wide palette of genre and style influences, but to advance well- loved repertoire of the past into the music and creative design of the future. This level of diverse creativity has provided Mr. Tindall with an exceeding level of comprehensive skills and knowledge, assisting in the integration and dissemination of multiple skill sets across a vast platform of culture and influence. Jory grew up in a suburb of Seattle Washington in the 90’s, enjoying the likes of Blink 182, Lil’ Bow Wow, Ludacris, Sum 41, and others before turning religiously to jazz and improvised music, becoming enamored with artists like Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Lennie Tristano, Freddie Hubbard, and Sonny Stitt

Pete Whitman

Saxophonist Pete Whitman has toured the US, Japan, and Brazil with the Glenn Miller Orchestra and has performed with such distinguished ensembles and musicians as the Minnesota Orchestra, Jack McDuff, Curtis Fuller, the Woody Herman Orchestra, the JazzMN Orchestra, Andres Prado and is the leader of the Pete Whitman's X-tet. Whitman has also recorded extensively as a sideman and has three CDs out under his name.

Andrew Dixon is making his mark. An accomplished woodwind performer, composer, and educator, Andrew is not one of those musicians who settles for just playing music on the side. Indeed, Andrew Dixon spends all of his time either in the studio, writing and rehearsing new songs, teaching to his vast array of students or on the road performing across the US. He plays at least nine different instruments, including every saxophone, clarinets, and flutes. Andrew has released three CDs of original music, infused with his jazz roots, but ranging far beyond. Influenced from growing up in Chicago, to his travels around the world, he has created a sound that is fresh, unique and sets him apart from the typical jazz fare

My name is Jonathan Barrera Mikulich. I live and work in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I play the saxophone and am currently a member of an alt.Latino band named Cabildo (cabidoband.com). I am very much interested in many different genres of music but have an affinity toward music that is part of the jazz tradition; improvisational, inspirational, and without boundaries.
