Randy Sutin

I was born in Great Falls, Montana. Both my parents taught music privately in the home. I studied piano starting at age 4 and guitar starting at age 8. At age 10 I began my study of the drums. By that time, I had moved to Rouses Point, New York which is a small border town on Lake Champlain about 40 miles from Montreal, Quebec. I began playing music professionally (mostly rock and some country) with local groups at age 13. When I became of age to go to college, I decided to study music, thus I had to broaden my knowledge of the rest of the instruments of the percussion family. All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
