SUSANNA LINDEBORG'S MWENDO DAWA is always an adventure listening to. They were a bit of pioneers when the group was formed in the 70th when it came to combining expression of Jazz and traditional instruments together with the possibilities given by new instruments of the time. And they still are. Apart from most others fascinated by the same possibilities at the time. Musically MWENDO DAWA is now working with improvisation in serial technique with electro acoustical backgrounds but with a strong rythmical approach. The group is still now, 30 years later, as much pioneers as ever before. MWENDO DAWA is updated on all frontiers, the musical vision is still there but has changed and grown not only together with technological progress

Jeroen van Herzeele

Jeroen Van Herzeele is a Belgian jazz saxophonist. He was born in Zottegem. He plays in various bands such as Greetings From Mercury, Maak's Spirit, Octurn, Tomas and Co, Ivan Paduart etc... He won the Belgian Golden Django in 1999 for best Flemish artist.

New Zealand born Jazz multi-instrumentalist and composer Matthew Mitchell grew up surrounded by the traditional music of the Pacific islands, reggae, punk and classical music. A late comer to Jazz guitar, Matthew began playing at the age of seventeen, but by his twenty-third birthday he had completed a degree in performance music, recorded his first large ensemble Album and a trio record, toured with the New Zealand Youth Big Band, and performed with many of Australasia’s leading Jazz innovators. Benjamin Deschamps

Born: May 13, 1988

It was through his classical music background that Benjamin Deschamps discovered jazz to finally make it his own. Although he cumulates artistic mediums (he is a flutist, clarinetist and arranger), it is his talents as a saxophonist and composer that have put him in the spotlight. His gregarious spirit led him to collaborate with several ensembles such as the Rachel Therrien Quintet, Odd Lot (Jacques Kuba Séguin), the Joe Sullivan Big Band, the Orchestre national de jazz de Montréal and JazzLab Orchestra (Effendi) before diving headfirst into his own projects. From trio to sextet, he plays with variable ensemble sizes to give the most fitting touch to each work.

Lukasz Juzko

My name is Łukasz Juźko. I am a saxophonist and composer. I initiate different kinds of musical projects. I have been awarded in multiple competitions and festivals. As a 20-year- old I debuted on the jazz scene with a concert starring New York singer – Judy Bady. That was the moment when I really relished jazz music. Later on, the fire that burns to this day was heated by the exceptional meeting with Billy Harper. Polygon Quartet

Polygon launched their first album "Monkey Puzzle" at the 2017 Manchester Jazz Festival. They are a jazz saxophone quartet made up of 4 internationally award winning saxophone players.
