Matt Savage, age 28, has had a remarkable 19-year professional career as a jazz musician, bandleader and composer with ensembles of different size. He’s played with some of the biggest names in jazz, including Chick Corea, the Ellington All Stars, Chaka Khan, Wynton Marsalis, Bobby Watson, Clark Terry, Jimmy Heath, Jason Moran, Arturo O’Farrill, John Pizzarelli, Joshua Redman, Terri Lyne Carrington, Jon Faddis, Jerry Bergonzi and Donny McCaslin among others. He’s also opened for rock legends Neil Young and Stephen Stills, and has performed with Steve Earle, Jackson Browne, Shawn Colvin and Al Stewart

A multi-talented performer, Zac plays saxophones, flute, clarinet, shakuhachi, EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument), and a host of ethnic flutes. In 2019 he released his debut album, Fulfillment, which includes twelve original tracks for jazz quartet combining jazz fusion and Japanese traditional music. He has recorded woodwinds for the soundtracks of Final Fantasy XV: Assassin's Festival, Just Cause 4, Street Fighter V, RWBY, Lazer Team, Moonlight Blade OL, and many more. Lieven Venken

Raised in Belgium in an environment full of music, Lieven Venken began playing the violin at the age of four. Reto Anneler

Reto Anneler studied jazz at the conservatories of Lucerne and Amsterdam with Nathanael Su, Tineke Postma and Kurt Rosenwinkel. They were a bit of pioneers when the group was formed in the 70th when it came to combining expression of Jazz and traditional instruments together with the possibilities given by new instruments of the time. And they still are. Apart from most others fascinated by the same possibilities at the time. Musically MWENDO DAWA is now working with improvisation in serial technique with electro acoustical backgrounds but with a strong rythmical approach. The group is still now, 30 years later, as much pioneers as ever before.
