Boris Netsvetaev

Born:

Boris Net (real name – Boris Netsvetaev) is a jazz musician, composer, pianist and keyboarder. He was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, where he studied music theory/composition at the Rhymsky-Korsakov music college, but later moved to Germany in the age of 18, to continue his jazz studies at the Music and Theatre University of Hamburg. Boris Net studied with Dieter Glawischnig (piano, arrangement), Wolfgang Schlüter and Lucas Lindholm (ensemble), he also participated an International Jazz Workshop at Banff (Canada) in 1999 where he studied with Joe Lovano, Dave Holland, Ken Werner, Dave Douglas, Hugh Fraser and Ari Hoenig. The first notable step in his career was the collaboration with the US drummer veteran Steve Reid, which started in 2000 and continued until Steve´s death in 2010

Nori Ochiai

about Nori Ochiai Considered by many to be a fine modern jazz pianist, Nori Ochiai worked regularly as both a leader and sideman in local clubs in Tokyo where he was born and raised.  He also did arranging for numerous pop artists, film scores and worked as a cellist for music studios, as well. Steve Scholz

Born in Long Island, New York and raised in New Smyrna Beach, Florida – Steve Scholz began his career as a professional musician at age 15. Working his way through the gig scene of the greater Daytona Beach area, Steve quickly gained prominence amongst local musicians and began to hone his skills as a performer and entertainer in hotel lobbies, restaurants, bars, weddings and private parties. During these formative years the young pianist didn’t hesitate to prove himself in more formal settings as well. Awarded the illustrious position of jazz pianist for the Florida All-State Jazz Band three years in a row (2003, 2004, 2005), nominated “outstanding soloist” and IAJE notification at FSU Jazz Festival (2005), UNF Jazz Festivals (2004, 2005), Lakeside Jazz Festival (2004,2005) First-Place Winner in the Duke Brown Blues Scholarship Competition (Daytona Beach Florida, 2005) and First-Place Winner in the Central Florida Jazz Society Competition in (Orlando, Florida 2005). Rema Hasumi (born in Fukuoka, Japan) is a pianist/vocalist who is based out of Brooklyn, NY. Rema has performed at venues across NY, the United States and Asia. In 2009 she performed at the Kennedy Center as one of the four finalists of Mary Lou Williams Women in Jazz Pianist Competition. More recently, upon invitation by acclaimed vocalist Jen Shyu, Rema presented her solo work “The Patterns of Duplicity” at a series of “Solo Rites” concerts by Ms. Shyu. Zahili Gonzalez Zamora, a brilliant Cuban-born, Afro Cuban jazz pianist, vocalist, composer, bandleader, arranger and educator, is releasing a landmark new album on October 24, 2025.

Entitled Overcoming, the album explores her extensive inner journeys through the challenges of her very personal apprehensions that might have held her back from stardom—until now—and finally releasing this album—as a vision of her true self.  The five songs on Overcoming—composed by Zahili and arranged by Zahili and bassist Gerson Lazo—take on deep introspections. “Rumination,” “Blissful Sorrow,” “Despair,” “Duality Embrace,” and finally, “Negra” take listeners inside the heart-searching pieces of her very personal odyssey, creating a beautiful and beguiling landscape into the deepest metamorphosis of her inner soul.
