Dan Sheehan

Born: April 21, 1988

Dan Sheehan is a Melbourne pianist/composer/improviser engaged in writing and performing original music. His work reflects passions for both the jazz tradition and post-jazz integration of 20th century classical ideals, and he aims to promote a distinct synthesis between improvisation and composition, regarding both elements as equally powerful devices in live performance. Dan studied at Monash University under Tony Gould, Marc Hannaford, and many of Australia's most prominent improvising artists. He graduated from Honours in 2012 after completing original research based on the music of Tim Berne, and has made numerous visits to NYC to study with Berne, alongside Ralph Alessi, Kris Davis and Jason Moran

Karoly Binder

Born: April 2, 1956

Károly Binder is a Hungarian jazz pianist, composer and university professor. He is the head of the jazz department at the Music Teachers Training Institute of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary. A great musician who applied his talent for new trends, different cultures, different composing techniques and synthesis of improvising systems, without forgetting his own cultural roots. He has composed 318 chamber and piano pieces, 43 pieces for films, plays and radio theatres. He has released 67 LPs and CDs, most of them his own compositions. Mike Markaverich

A native of Nashua, New Hampshire, Mike Markaverich was a premature baby whose experience in the incubator resulted in his blindness. Mike began playing a toy piano at age three and took lessons at Perkins School for the Blind where he attended grammar school. He graduated second in his class from Bishop Guertin High School and studied at Dartmouth College where he became interested in jazz and decided to make music his career. After attaining a graduate degree at the University of New Hampshire, Mike began his professional career on Cape Cod where he worked as a solo performer and in various combo settings in major area nightspots for over ten years. In November 1988 he moved to Sarasota where he has been a regular member of the local jazz scene. Mike has also appeared in concert in various venues, appeared on television and radio, given workshops in schools and colleges, teaches jazz piano, and has produced nine of his own recordings. Rodney Kendricks

Rodney Kendrick (born April 30, 1960) is an Americanjazzpianist, bandleader, composer, and producer. He has been described as a "hard swinging player and composer with a delightful Monkish wit and drive. Rodney Kendrick was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He grew up in Miami, Florida, where his parents moved soon after his birth. Kendrick grew up in a musical, and Pentecostal church-going family. His father is James “Jimmy Kay” Kendrick, a pianist who worked with saxophonist Illinois Jacquet for seven years, played with saxophonist Sonny Stitt and Sam Rivers. His mother is a gospel singer named Juet. When Kendrick was eighteen, he turned professional, touring and playing keyboards with R&B and funk acts

Terry Klinefelter

Dr. Terry Klinefelter is a versatile artist, at home in jazz clubs as well as the classical concert stage. She has performed at the Kimmel Center, the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, the Chadds Ford Winery Jazz Festival, Jazz at the Springs, Endless Mountain Music Festival, and the Arcady Festival (Bar Harbor, Maine). Known for her lyrical style and beautiful sound, she has also performed on the Philadelphia Orchestra Chamber Music Series (three appearances) and abroad in Mexico (Escuela Superior, Monterrey) and Italy (Rome Festival). She has also collaborated with dance companies, serving as pianist with the Pennsylvania Ballet in the early nineties, and more recently with the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (Mozart's "Twinkle" Variations, and Saint-Saëns' Carnival of the Animals). Terry has given premieres of the music of composers Manny Album (viola sonata with Manny Vardi), Haskell Small, and David Bennett Thomas (Tarry Not, written for her in 2011). Past engagements include Chester County Pops (four performances of Rhapsody in Blue in 2011) and the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra (Carnival of the Animals, 2012), where she currently serves as keyboardist

Steve Jones

Born: 1961

Steve Jones is a Northwest native, resident in the Seattle area for the last 28 years. Though classically trained, Steve has always had jazz in his life, playing alto and tenor saxophone in college, and later studying jazz piano with Seattle’s own Dave Peck, Randy Halberstadt and Darin Clendenin. Favorite piano players are Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett, Herbie Hancock, Benny Green, George Cables and Dave Peck.

Arunava Chatterjee

Born: October 14, 1984

Indian pianist Arunava Chatterjee AKA sonai is a well trained Jazz pianist. He started his musical journey by learning TABLA at the age of 5. At the age of 12, he started taking Piano classes from his father,is also a renowned keyboard player of the town. He also learnt bass guitar and worked with many famous musicians and bands. In 1995 he was selected in a program called "CALLING ALL CHILDREN", a special program for junior artists in All India Radio and performed till 1999. He started taking an exclusive jazz theory classes form a leading musician of Calcutta in the year 2001. 2002, he first joined a band and started performing in and out of town. As there was no such jazz course available in Calcutta he had to take lessons from the jazz musicians of the town
