Steve Jones

Born: 1961

Steve Jones is a Northwest native, resident in the Seattle area for the last 28 years. Though classically trained, Steve has always had jazz in his life, playing alto and tenor saxophone in college, and later studying jazz piano with Seattle’s own Dave Peck, Randy Halberstadt and Darin Clendenin. Favorite piano players are Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett, Herbie Hancock, Benny Green, George Cables and Dave Peck.

Arunava Chatterjee

Born: October 14, 1984

Indian pianist Arunava Chatterjee AKA sonai is a well trained Jazz pianist. He started his musical journey by learning TABLA at the age of 5. At the age of 12, he started taking Piano classes from his father,is also a renowned keyboard player of the town. He also learnt bass guitar and worked with many famous musicians and bands. In 1995 he was selected in a program called "CALLING ALL CHILDREN", a special program for junior artists in All India Radio and performed till 1999. He started taking an exclusive jazz theory classes form a leading musician of Calcutta in the year 2001. 2002, he first joined a band and started performing in and out of town. As there was no such jazz course available in Calcutta he had to take lessons from the jazz musicians of the town

MARCE PALOS Originally from Illinois, Marce Palos received his musical education in Chicago. He attended the Sherwood Music School and the University of Chicago from which he received a Bachelor Degree in Piano Performance. Subsequently, he went on to do graduate work at Northwestern University School of Music in piano performance and pedagogy. His fondness of classical music is only exceeded by his preference for jazz which affords him opportunities for creative improvisation and arranging. Graduate of the Moscow Conservatory, composer, pianist and arranger, Laureate of the National Festival "Art of the Young", Laureate of the National Competition of Young Composers, Member of the Russian Union of Composers, Andrei Razin was destined for the career of an academic musician, but his creative interests have a much wider range. Matthew is a 23-year-old Seattle jazz pianist who performs locally, teaches, and writes original music. His compositions are deeply emotional and always lyrical. He gets part of his inspiration from what he hears in the world, which is quite a bit more than the rest of us. Matthew is a synesthete who hears an extra layer of sound with everything that moves in his visual field and every motion of his body.
