Daniel Stahre

Born:

The Margin Call-series
Gothenburg-based pianist and songwriter Daniel Stahre released the album 'Margin Call II' June 24, 2024. The album marks the second in Daniel's “Margin Call”-call series. This time, alongside Stahre on piano and composition, we find drummer Erik Bodin (Little Dragon), bass player Viktor Turegård (Franska Trion) and guitarist Martin Friedlitz.

In the sequel "Margin Call II", Daniel Stahre comments on contemporary life in a personal way, almost out of necessity. In songs like 'Infinite Liquidity' and 'Market Maker', inspiration is drawn from the great financial endpoint that also adorns the album series: Margin Call - to cover a loss or be forced to sell.

Jakob Park

Born:

My name is Jakob Park. I am a composer, pianist, vocalist and writer. I was born in Seoul, South Korea, but was brought up in Denmark, Europe. I am interested in the idea of giving a feeling, perception or thought form whether this form is expressed through the media of a canvas, a piece of paper, shadows on a screen, movement of bodies or fingers on a piano. I belong to the Asian race(South Korean) but in my blood flows the European spirit. My uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters were part of the inner circle of intellectual artists and bohemians like Charles Baudelaire, Henry Miller, Milan Kundera, Cole Porter, Ernest Hemingway, Jean-Paul Sartre, Miles Davis, Salvador Dalí, Ingmar Bergman, Gustav Mahler, Jean-Luc Godard, Francois Truffaut and Thomas Mann. My work expresses what I am not capable of saying in an ordinary way. The experience of being human is difficult to describe and hard to tell using a language that is built on and constructed by contrasts. In my work I am attracted to lightness and heaviness, comedy and tragedy, beauty and spleen, Art and Popart, the sublime and the ordinary, the poetic and the bombastic. My artistic vision is to build our lives and community upon the vitality and the beauty of Art and Aesthetics despite living in a commercialised world
