Dave Anderson (Piano)

Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, Dave Anderson has played the piano professionally since his teenage years. After 15 years of classical and jazz piano studies, Dave played full-time in Philadelphia jazz clubs from 1974 to 1981. After moving to the Washington DC area in 1981, Dave played in a variety of performance settings, from solo piano to jazz big band. In the late 90’s, he formed a new trio and began performing regularly in area clubs, including a five year engagement at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Arlington, VA and appearances at Blues Alley in DC. In 2000, he released his first trio CD, Out of Nowhere and also began a long term collaboration with vocalist, Barry Neal

Stephen Page

An eternal student of sound, Stephen Page has immersed his life in music. His musical journey started with drums and trumpet before dedicating himself to the piano at age seventeen. After completing his jazz studies at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, he continued his quest by studying with jazz luminaries Billy Taylor, Yusef Lateef, Andy LaVerne and Kenny Werner. Most notably, Stephen had the opportunity to study with renowned music educator Charlie Banacos, until his passing in 2009. Privately, Stephen cultivated his sound by dissecting and analyzing the greats who influenced him – Bill Evans, Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett, McCoy Tyner, Herbie Hancock, Bud Powell, Art Tatum and Oscar Peterson among others- deconstructing, assimilating and creating his own dynamic sound. Bokani Dyer

Bokani Dyer is a multi-award winning Motswana-South African pianist, composer and producer. In 2013, Dyer won the SAMRO Overseas Scholarships competition. His recent career highlights include playing at the opening of the London Jazz Festival (2015), showcasing his Trio at Jazzahead in Bremen, Germany (2016), headlining the Cape Town International Jazz Festival (2015) and an artistic residency at the Bird’s Eye jazz club in Basel, Switzerland (2014).
