Early Years
Jens Christian Bugge Wesseltoft was born February 1st, 1964 in Porsgrunn and raised in the neighbouring city of Skien, around 100km south-west of Oslo. Jazz music filled Bugge’s world from an early age by virtue of his Jazz guitarist father, Erik Wesseltoft. Bugge started practicing on the piano at age 3, and by the age of 7, he had begun taking lessons, but after a short time he stopped these, instead choosing to learn by himself.
Bugge played tuba and the bass drum in his school’s marching band, where he met Audun Kleive who gave him further insights into the world of jazz. Beginning with a punk band, Bugge has played in bands from around the age of 16. At that time he was also meeting with friends to jam at home in the basement, playing different kinds of material. Through his fascination with electronic sounds, Bugge soon bought his first synthesizer and electric piano. His growing fascination with electronic sounds culminated in his purchase of a synthesizer and an electric piano.

Dan Garmon
Born:
Dan is a NYC based music director, multi-instrumentalist, and educator. He has had the great honor of working with the likes of Brian Lowdermilk & Kait Kerrigan, Mary- Mitchell Campbell, David O, and many others. He completed a Bachelor of Music, double majoring in piano performance & jazz drumset performance at McGill University's Schulich School of Music in 2012, graduating with distinction in piano. During his studies he was the drummer for the internationally renowned McGill Jazz One, the school's premiere jazz ensemble. In addition to music directing and playing in pits, he has had an incredibly diverse wealth of musical experiences; he actively plays/listens to anything from the generally-regarded-as-somewhat-pretentious (solo classical piano / chamber music) to generally-regarded-as-less-relevant-than-it-once-may-have-been (jazz combos and big bands of all sizes) to hopelessly-nostalgic-for-yourteens-and-having-all- the-feels (pop punk & emo/screamo/mathcore) to the somewhat-off-the-beaten- path (Indian classical music, free-form improvisation and artistic installations), to the depths-of-the-bizarre-and-fantastic (modern extended-technique 12-tone prepared piano pieces, rolling marbles and tennis balls inside instruments) and everything in between. Dan also has many years of experience teaching dozens of students of all ages (5- 65) and experiences (complete beginner to university level and beyond) in most any style of music

Fariborz Lachini
Born:
Fariborz Lachini has been creating music for more than three decades. While in his twenties and just before the revolution, Lachini had already achieved success in the world of pop music, creating music for some of today's Persian pop icons as well as music for children. Most kinds of music were banned in Iran after the revolution, so Lachini moved to France to study music and computers.
Living in Europe and studying at "Universite de Paris - Sorbonne" added a European flavor to Lachini’s music and influenced his style to become a distinctive and beautiful fusion of contemporary Persian and European styles. He also mastered the technology to create exotic sampled Middle Eastern instruments, immediately putting him in a unique position when he entered the world of film music. The score for the Berlin Special Mention winner, Snake's Fang (1991), is an example of this. Variety comments: "...The exceptional music is a computerized version of traditional southern Iranian percussion. Soundtrack sets the pace and signals both danger and action throughout the film."
