Latin Grammy winner and multi-Grammy nominee, Argentine-born and New York-based pianist and composer Emilio Solla’s first band, Apertura, (1983-1989) was praised by Astor Piazzolla as one of the most interesting new sounds in the Buenos Aires scene in 1986. Today, with eleven CDs as bandleader and more than forty as arranger/producer, he is regarded by peers and critics as one of the most outstanding and unique composers in the Tango-Jazz field, a musical language which blends Argentine tango and folk with jazz and other contemporary music styles. A graduate of New York University with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Jazz Piano Performance, Alterman has performed at iconic venues including the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, Birdland, and Blue Note, sharing stages with jazz greats like Houston Person, Les McCann, and Ramsey Lewis. He also had the privilege of opening for Dick Gregory at the Kennedy Center, where the legendary comedian introduced him with a knowing smile and the line: “See? Integration works!”

After studying at both the Purcell School of Music and the Royal Academy of Music - Kit now plays regularly with his own trio, Stan Sulzman, Troyka, The Golden Age of Steam, Sam Crockatt and Clark Tracey - and has played with Joe Locke, Gilad Atzmon, Empirical, Gerard Presencer, Seb Rochford, Ian Ballamy, Peter Ind, Gwyneth Herbert, John Warren and Eugene Skeef. He has also performed with leading British bands Fraud, Asaf Sirkis’ Inner Noise, Gilad Atzmon’s Orient House Ensemble, Acoustic Ladyland, Nostalgia 77, 2000 Black, Silhouette Brown and Dennis Rollins’ Badbone and Co. He has also worked with up and coming Composer / Songwriter Micachu, with whome he recorded in Abbey Road for Matthew Herbert, recorded for BBC Radio 6 and played at the Sonar Music Festival ’07 in Barcelona

Tamir Hendelman

Award-winning jazz pianist Tamir Hendelman has performed with the Jeff Hamilton Trio, the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, Harry Allen, Teddy Edwards, Warren Vache, Houston Person, Jeff Clayton, Nick Brignola, Phil Upchurch, Rickey Woodard, John Clayton and Barbara Morrison. He also leads his own trio and his debut CD "Playground" features him in this trio setting. Beginning his keyboard studies at age 6 in Tel Aviv, Tamir moved to the US at age 12 in 1984, winning Yamaha's national keyboard competition 2 years later at age 14. Concerts in Japan and the Kennedy Center followed. Tamir then studied at the Tanglewood Institute in 1988 and received a Bachelor of Music Composition degree from Eastman School of Music in 1993

Harry Evans Trio

Harry Evans was the older brother of the late great jazz pianist Bill Evans. Harry did form his own trio in the late 1960's. Harry had a simple style of playing that used a lot of spacing similar to Amad Jamal. In 1985, a two record set was released of his jazz trio titled Someday We'll Be Together Again. The LP was dedicated to his brother Bill Evans and after Harry's death in 1979, Bill Evans dedicated an album to Harry: We Will Meet Again; released in 1980 (the year of Bill's death).

Jazz Pianist and composer BRUCE DUDLEY has performed at Jazz Festivals in Canada and the United States since 1974 when he was the featured “Young Talent” winner at the Wichita Jazz Festival. Since then he has performed across Canada and throughout the United States in clubs, concerts, and festivals including the Houston International Festival, Vancouver Jazz Festival, Jazz in June, Calgary Jazz Festival, Edmonton Jazz Festival, and Corpus Christi Jazz Festival. Dudley has performed with Herb Ellis, Marvin Stamm, Eddie Daniels, Chester Thompson, Jamie Baum, and many others. He was the pianist for the Middle Tennessee Jazz Orchestra with whom he has performed with Randy Brecker, Eric Alexander, Kenny Werner, Scott Robinson, Jim McNeely, Tim Hagens, and the Sacred Music Concert of Duke Ellington. Dudley is currently on the faculty of Commercial Music at Belmont University and is adjunct instructor of jazz piano at Vanderbilt University

Jussi Fredriksson

Jussi Fredriksson is a Finnish jazz musician, composer, music pedagogue and producer. Born in 1980, Fredriksson originally hails from the culturally rich city of Turku and nowadays lives in Helsinki. He plays an active part in the jazz lives of both of the cities and works actively as a musician, manning both pianist/keyboardist slots and drum stools of several ensembles operating at the forefront of the lively Finnish jazz scene. Recently Fredriksson has also taken a more active part in the workings of the Finnish Jazz Federation, becoming a member of the organisation’s board in 2012
