Billy White

William “Billy” White is a pianist, composer, producer, ethnomusicologist and music scientist living in Brooklyn, New York. The 28-year-old pianist grew up in the rich stew of San Francisco's music scene in the 80's and 90's. After receiving a few years of classical education, he began studying jazz with teachers as Jim Rowsey, Wayne Wallace, Rebecca Mauleon, Gordon Fels, and Marc Levine, in addition to leading his own groups by the age of fifteen. Winning a number of music scholarships, he attended UCLA, and studied with the legendary guitarist Kenny Burrell, the pianist Tom Ranier, and the arranger Gerald Wilson

Axel Tosca Laugart

Cuban born Axel Tosca Laugart is one of the most dynamic young pianists on the scene. Laugart's family influenced his musical interests at an early age. Both his father and stepfather were musicians and his father's guitar playing sparked an early interest in the instrument. He began playing guitar around the age of four and piano at the age of seven, accompanying his parents. Laugart's mother, Xiomada Laugart, is a world-famous singer, whom he still performs with today. Laugart benefitted from a wide range of musical experiences growing up in Cuba. Dennis & Swing was a group that Laugart credits for "giving me the real timba groove." Laugart also played with the Afro Cuban All Stars, Teresa Garcia Caturla, Sexteto Sendito, Jose Miguel Crego (known as “El Greco”), and a Latin Jazz group called the Bobby Carcases Group, where Laugart says "I learned a lot about the language of music." Laugart was also part of the Hip-Hop scene in Cuba and had the opportunity to play with The Roots while they were in Cuba

Pawel Kaczmarczyk

One of Poland's pre-eminent jazz pianists from the younger generation, composer, soloist and sideman. Called a revelation of Polish and European jazz scene; valued most of all for his virtuosity, creativity and surprisingly mature technique. Being only a teenager he started to participate in a various jazz festivals and competitions where he received many awards. Year 2000 for Pawel Kaczmarczyk is the beginning of informal education under the aegis of legendary jazzman Janusz Muniak, with whom he cooperates to this very day. He took the first place in the New Hope category of Jazz Forum Magazine's "Jazz Top" readers' poll from 2004 through 2007

Dutcher Snedeker is a Grand Rapids pianist with a long history of being involved in the Michigan music scene. Growing up in a musical family, he was surrounded by different music styles that continue to inspire his multifaceted interest in music, whether it’s exploring different genres or taking on work in other music industry roles. He is recognized as an active part of the West Michigan music community, with multiple nominations and awards at the local WYCE Jammies alongside a jazz award from ArtPrize 2013. A graduate of both GVSU and WMU, he draws from years of experience as a classical and jazz performer in solo and group settings, with a focus on future soul, funk fusion, and New Music.

Zaccai Curtis

After graduating from New England Conservatory in 2005, Zaccai Curtis moved to New York City where he performs with artists such as: Ralph Peterson, Brian Lynch, Ray Vega, Antoine Roney, Wallace Roney, Cindy Blackman, Jerry Gonzalez and the Fort Apache Band, Papo Vasquez, and Donald Harrison. Zaccai Curtis composes and arranges for his own quartet, trio, solo piano works, Big-Band, Orchestra, as well as large and small ensembles with strings. In 2001 he was commissioned to arrange Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Capriccio Espagnol” to be performed by his 7 piece latin jazz ensemble ‘insight’ with the Hartford Symphony Chamber Orchestra

Glenn Zaleski

Born:

Glenn Zaleski is one of the most in-demand pianists on the New York City jazz scene. Originally from Boylston, MA, Glenn has made a name for himself playing with the likes of Ravi Coltrane, Lage Lund, and Ari Hoenig. His debut album, My Ideal, was released in March of 2015 on Sunnyside, and has been receiving critical acclaim: Downbeat Magazine named it “sublime”, Jazz Times called it, “an engaging set by a talent worth watching,” and the New York Times named the record a “strong statement”, praising its “fluent but unhurried sense of phrase”. Glenn has also released two popular albums with the collective Stranahan/Zaleski/Rosato: Limitless (Capri 2013), and Anticipation (Capri 2011), as well as a duo record with his brother, saxophonist Mark Zaleski
