The repertoire of DEMI-SEQ comprises own compositions of pianist Addy Scheele and congenial composers such as Chick Corea, Joe Zawinul, Herbie Hancock and Miles Davis. The first album "By Nature" - released by the "Squint Records" label - is solely their work. In their show, these tracks take turns with jazz-fusion classics like Crystal Silence, Mercy, Mercy, Mercy and Cantaloupe Island and jazzy arrangements of pop standards like Fragile and Eleanor Rigby.

Kerem Görsev began his adventure in music at the age of 6 when he started studying piano at the classical music conservatory in Istanbul. He continued his musical education at the Istanbul State Conservatory for twelve years until he started to play jazz. His first admiration was for Parker and Miles. After this, he has always liked bop and bebop music. This influence has been persistent throughout his professional life. Kerem Görsev never fails to mention how good he feels when listening to Bill Evans. In the early years of his career, he has performed at the various clubs in Istanbul both with Turkish and foreign musicians

Mike Moran

Born and raised in New York City, Mike Moran lead a trio as a teenager. Mike attained his bachelor’s degree in Music Composition from Boston University. Then, after a five year rise to being Media Director for a New York advertising agency, Mike started his own agency, became a published children’s author, and then left it all behind for a career in music. The Mike Moran Trio soon joined forces with vocalist, Kathy Walsh (now known as Kitt Moran). Their performing and recording career blossomed, performing at Trumpets, Shanghai Jazz, and as regulars at Jimmy Weston’s and Gregory’s in Manhattan

Diana Wayburn

Diana Wayburn (pianist/flautist/composer) attended the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the University of Indiana’s Bloomington School of Music as a Piano Performance Major. She has worked as a jazz pianist, an accompanist and improviser for modern dance studios, and as a composer, musician, and arranger for numerous theater productions in NYC. She has composed choral works for services at St. Mark’s Church on the Bowery and has presented original work in NYC at Judson Memorial Church, The Williamsburg Art & Historical Center, The Gershwin Hotel, the Arts for Art “In Garden” series, Somethin’ Jazz Club, Firehouse Space, Silvana and Shrine. She has just completed her 3rd CD “Dances of the World” which is a mix of world music (rhythms from Guinea and a tango) and classical music and jazz adapted for chamber orchestra

Emboldened by surviving decades of world travel and ritualistic abuse at the hands of producers, 'Divas' & 3 chord cowboys, Scott continues writing original jazz & Brazilian flavored pieces, in addition to a busy film scoring and arranging career. He was also an 8 year Grammy voter and board member of the Nashville Composers' Association. His first album "Tango/Jazz", featuring all original music, was released on the Magnatune label in 2010 and has garnered 2 million plays on Spotify. Scott's previous life includes live performances, tours and/or studio recordings with: Donna Summer, Sir Elton John, Aaron Neville, Gloria Estefan, Ricky Skaggs, Eddy Arnold, Lari White, Marc Antony, Andrae Crouch, Brian Littrell (Backstreet Boys), David Foster, Larry Gatlin, Margaret Becker, The Wilkinsons, Steve Wariner, Jaimee Paul, Monte Montgomery, Seay and Fernando Ortega.

Utar Artun

Utar Artun was born in Ankara, Turkey . In 2006, he arranged musical pieces for the theater play “The 7 Women”. Artun arranged many movie soundtracks and oldies for symphonic orchestra, and the Bursa Regional Symphony Orchestra performed his arrangements and compositions in live concerts such as the 2008-2011 New Year Concert and the International Bursa Music Festival in 2009. Artun performed in 7th Eskisehir Jazz Festival, 12th International Ankara Jazz Festival, 6th International Mersin Music Festival and 25th International Ankara Music Festival. In 2008, Artun graduated from Percussion Department of Hacettepe Conservatory with 2nd Rank (runner-up) Degree of School Placement Award

Andrew Boniwell

Born:

Andrew has been a professional piano player on the Toronto jazz scene since 1980. A frequent participant in the Downtown Toronto Jazz Festival he has also appeared at the Distillery Jazz Festival, JVC Jazz Festival, Guelph Jazz Festival and the Barrie Jazz Festival. Andrew has performed with the Juno award-winning contemporary jazz orchestra NOJO, and plays with many of Toronto's finest jazz musicians including Richard Underhill (JUNO winner 2003), Mike Murley (multiple JUNO winner), Kevin Turcotte, Michael Occhipinti (NOJO), Barry Romberg and Quinsin Nachoff (now based in NYC). Andrew newest project is his quintet, Andrew Boniwell and The Uncertainty Principle
