Chuck Anderson was born in Chicago, Ilinois on June 21st, 1947. At a young age, the family moved first to the Chicago suburb of Broadview then, to Westchester. When Chuck was 12, the Anderson family moved to Pennsylvania. He attended St. Katherine of Sienna grade school in Wayne, PA. Basketball was a passion and looked like a possible career. Devon Prep was his high school of choice. Noted more for academic excellence than for sports, Chuck nevertheless continued his involvement in basketball. Steve Giordano is a Philadelphia jazz guitarist in great company. He has lived, learned, loved and played in the most evolutionary age of creative music in America. Early teachers were by way of radio and then 45 and LP records from the nineteen fifties. Giordano learned from the best: screaming guitar solos from Elvis Presley's guitarist Scotty Moore then lured to jazz by {{Dave Brubeck = 5391}}, {{Art Blakey = 5069}}'s Jazz Messengers and {{John Coltrane = 5851}}. Jon Crowley

Forward-thinking trumpeter and composer, Jon Crowley was born in Malvern PA, a suburb of Philadelphia, in 1982. He began studying the trumpet at age six with Elin Frazier, a student of Carmine Caruso. While in high school he developed an interest in Jazz and began attending local jam sessions and sitting in with various musicians around Philadelphia. Jon spent the next four years attending Muhlenberg College, studying Jazz with Charles Fambrough and John Swana. After Graduating with his B.A. in Music, Jon went straight to New York City, where he attended NYU, graduating in the Spring of '07; receiving his Masters in Jazz Performance and Composition

Don Glanden

Don Glanden was born in 1951 in Wilmington, Delaware. He began traditional classical piano lessons at the age of ten with Sarah Miller; within a year he was accompanying the elementary school chorus. He was immediately drawn to jazz after hearing Charles Freeman, the family piano tuner, play blues and standards at the conclusion of his regular tunings. A friend of trumpeter Clifford Brown, Mr. Freeman proved to be an inspiring and encouraging influence. Don’s teen years were spent at Brandywine High School, where he took three years of classical theory and played in the school’s award-winning jazz band The Blazers

Justin Faulkner
Justin Faulkner constantly performs in the Philadelphia area with some of the world's best known artists. He studies classical music with Sam Ruttenburg at the Settlement Music School and is trained in jazz at the Kimmel Center and Clef Club on the Avenue of the Arts. He plays regularly at the Kimmel Center for Performing Arts with the Youth Jazz Ensemble. He is also the current premier and house drummer for the Clef Club of Jazz and Performing Arts. Calvin Weston

G Calvin Weston was born June 6, 1959 in Philadelphia, PA. He became interested in drums at the age of 6, when he (and his neighbors) discovered his talent for rhythm as he beat on every car on the block. He lived in North Philadelphia where he saw musicians like Stevie Wonder, The Jackson Five and James Brown at the Uptown Theatre. Seeing his attention focused on the drummers, his Father bought him a small set. In high school Calvin learned to read music and played second snare in the drum ensemble. He co-founded the group Bad Influence which played in cabarets and clubs around Philadelphia. At 17, Calvin joined Ornette Coleman's Prime Time Band, with bass player Jamalaadean Tacuma, his close friend from Philly, which toured extensively in North America and Europe

Victor Bailey

Victor Bailey was born in Philadelphia, on March 27, 1960 into a musical family so there was music playing constantly from the moment he arrived on the planet. His dad, Morris Bailey Jr., is a master composer, arranger, producer, saxophonist, artist and teacher. During the 60's, 70's and 80's his songs were recorded by some of music's greatest R&B artists including, Patti LaBelle, The Stylistics, Blue Magic, The Spinners, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes and international artist Nina Simone. As a saxophonist he played with cats like McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Smith, Lee Morgan and Reggie Workman. My uncle, Donald Bailey, is a legendary jazz drummer, probably best known as the drummer in the trio of groundbreaking jazz organist Jimmy Smith
