Murph Aucamp

A native of South Florida, percussionist Murphy Aucamp began playing drums at the age of 6 and later congas after discovering his passion for Cuban music. Murphy studied classical percussion at Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, while simultaneously studying rumba in the streets of Miami-Dade and Broward counties. He is a graduate of the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, where he studied under Steve Rucker, Dafnis Prieto, and John Yarling. Murphy’s performing credits include appearances with Gloria Estefan, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Blue Man Group, Arturo O’Farrill, Quincy Jones, Dayramir Gonzalez, Daymé Arocena, Jon Secada, Néstor Torres, Orlando “Maraca” Valle, Nu Deco Ensemble, Palm Beach Symphony, Symphony of the Americas, and as a soloist with the Amarillo Symphony

Massimo Discepoli

Drummer and multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and teacher, since many years Massimo Discepoli works in the most different areas of music. He began his artistic career studying and participating in workshops with leading international masters, also attending the Berklee Schools clinics at Umbria Jazz 2004, receiving compliments by Giovanni Tommaso. Among the most important projects that see him involved in that period should be noted the trio Vibrham, active between 2004 and 2006, that allowed him to create an original fusion of jazz, funk and drum ‘n’ bass. With the trio he realizes the self-titled album in 2006 (which also contains his own compositions), as well as taking part in an intense concert activity. At the same time he began to study piano, bass and guitar, and also approaching electronic music; here he got the idea to start making his own music, which became reality with the creation of the Nheap project

Wingren has dedicated most of his life to studies in percussion and his career as a free-lance musician. His drive for expanding his knowledge has taken him to places of special musical interest like New York, Rio de Janeiro and Havana for in-depth studies. Though the folk music tradition always has been the starting point, the use of percussion in jazz and progressive electronica has been his focus the last couple of years. By widening his field of work in this direction a lot of new possibilities have opened up with the use of samplers, looping-techniques and computer based gear. The integration of new technology in acoustic music has resulted in Wingrens most ambitious project to date, Soundscape Orchestra which is a quintet playing futuristic electronic jazz based on productions in Ableton Live

Michael Vitali

A native of Zurich, Switzerland, Michael Vitali hit the New York music scene in 2002, shortly after graduating from Berklee College of Music. Though he arrived with little more than a change of clothes, a drum set and a voracious appetite for music, Michael immediately impressed his audiences and peers with his innate sensitivity and dynamism. The appropriately named Vitali maintains an astonishing performance schedule, with appearances in New York’s most popular venues, such as Fat Cat, Smoke, Cleopatra’s Needle and The Metropolitan Room, to name a few. Michael has toured throughout the US and Europe, he has recorded on several albums and performed live on WKCR. Steeped in jazz tradition, Michael is also known for his versatility
