This exciting jazz quartet's 2009 album Time’s Up! (SPIDER RECORDS) was featured in JAZZIZ magazine. In 2010, the record won a Syracuse Area Music Award (Sammy) for best jazz Recording and continues to receive airplay in more than 120 cities worldwide. In 2012, E.S.P. was voted “Best Jazz Group” in the Syracuse New Times annual reader’s poll.

Fredrik Lundin

Born: April 7, 1963

Saxophonist, flutist, composer and band leader Fredrik Lundin is one of the major jazz profiles of his generation in Scandinavia. Since arriving on the Danish Jazz scene in 1981 this elegant and explosive musician has been searching relentlessly into the realms of contemporary music, respecting no boundaries. A truly original and virtuoso voice, performing in bands around Europe and Scandinavia, such as his own Offpiste Gurus, 5 Go Adventuring Again, the 13 piece MaLuBa Orchestra, which he co-leads with Marilyn Mazur and Kasper Bai, and with Marilyn Mazur Group, Jon Balke Magnetic North Orchestra and Carsten Dahl. 

Kristina Barta

Born: January 23, 1987

Critics have described Czech pianist Kristina Barta as “fiery, expressive, eloquent, and stubborn.” Originally admitted to the Prague Conservatory as an oboist, she later embraced the piano and earned a prominent position in the Euroradio Jazz Orchestra, garnering several prestigious awards. 

Barta, recognized internationally as both a composer and pianist, embarked on her musical journey after studying classical music and composition at the Prague Conservatory. She graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, specializing in jazz piano. Her career has taken her on a constant whirlwind of tours, gracing renowned venues worldwide, including Jazzahead! (Germany), Bimhuis (Netherlands), Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), Steyr Jazz Festival (Austria), V4 Jazz Festival (Hungary), Strasbourg’s Jazzdor (France), D'Jazz Nevers (France), A Trane (Germany), and many others. 

Arnaud Guichard

Arnaud Guichard is a Belgian born saxophonist and composer based in London. Since he arrived in the UK in 2013, Arnaud performed as a sideman and as a leader with the renowned jazz musicians Zoe Rahman, Mark Lockheart, Simon Purcell, Mick Foster, Dave Wickins and Moses Boyd. Arnaud studied at Trinity Laban Conservatoire where he was awarded the Jon Hassal prize for jazz in 2015 before graduating in 2016. His latest work as a bandleader ‘Serendip’ is a project that reflects Arnaud’s early influences from the ‘Symphony Fantastique’ by Berlioz. ‘Serendip’ cultivates the essence of program music using the Persian tale ‘The Three Princes of Serendip’ as an extra-musical narrative. Since its start in 2017 ‘Serendip’ played at Jazz in The Round, The Vortex Jazz Club, Jazz Live at The crypt amongst others and released its first album ‘The Tale’ at Total Refreshment Centre in May 2018

Matt La Von

Born: January 22, 1977

Matt La Von has worked as a professional musician, performing and teaching, in New York City for more than 10 years. As a performer, his main area of expertise is as a jazz saxophonist, although he has also been prolific as a sideman in bands and on recordings that cover a wide range of genres which include Rock, R&B, Funk, Fusion, and Hip-Hop. As a teacher, he specializes in private instruction for beginner to advanced saxophone and clarinet as well as beginner to advanced jazz improvisation. Unlike many successful musicians, Matt La Von wasn’t born into a family of artistic types, much less professional musicians or folks with ties to the entertainment field

Mike Abbott

Mike has performed and/or recorded with The Rolling Stone’s horn section, Randy Brecker, Maria Schneider, Jeff Hamilton, John Clayton, Chie Imaizumi, Sammy Davis Jr., Burt Bacharach, Paul Schaffer, Joey Calderazzo, and Marc Copeland. After earning his Music Degree in 1988 at the University of Miami in Florida, he moved to New York City and started playing clubs, touring the US and Europe, and recording. In 2012, Mike’s book, The Guitar and Amp Sourcebook, was published by Harper Collins Publishers. This 450-page tome provides an insider’s look into the who, what, where, when, and how of guitar and amplifier development from the dawn of the 20th century to the present day

Q Morrow

Born: June 8, 1983

Well schooled in many styles of music and guitar technique, Q is a rare breed of guitarist who feels at home in any style of music, on any guitar. Having studied extensively jazz, funk, pop, rock, and classical guitar here in the far West, Carnatic (South Indian Classical) and Hindustani music in the far East, Brazilian and Cuban music on the side, it would be no stretch to say that his versatility is his strongest point. What sets him apart from other world musicians is the fact that his interest in music is spiritual, not technical. To Q, music is an offering. Claire McAllister

After spending 13 years performing in function bands, jazz bands and duos in a huge range of venues both private and public and singing material from pop through jazz standards to contemporary jazz I am delighted to welcome you to my own compositions with my debut album. I am influenced by classical and jazz music but am very drawn to contemporary jazz/folk such as Lauren Kinsella; singer-songwriters such as David Sylvian, Kate Bush and Laura Mvula and spoken word poets performing sometimes to music such as Kate Tempest and Selena Godden. New Zealand born Jazz multi-instrumentalist and composer Matthew Mitchell grew up surrounded by the traditional music of the Pacific islands, reggae, punk and classical music. A late comer to Jazz guitar, Matthew began playing at the age of seventeen, but by his twenty-third birthday he had completed a degree in performance music, recorded his first large ensemble Album and a trio record, toured with the New Zealand Youth Big Band, and performed with many of Australasia’s leading Jazz innovators.
