Teri Roiger

Teri Roiger has been making music all her life (since age 5!) and over the years her music has taken many exciting twists and turns. Teri is a jazz vocalist, but also plays piano, composes music and writes lyrics. She has been sharing her knowledge and inspiration with her many students at SUNY New Paltz for several years. The depth of her experiences and love of jazz is apparent when she brings all of her talents to a live performance, the recording studio, and in her compositions. Her latest recording, her most personal and powerful to date, was released by Dot Time Records in 2017, and is her fourth release as a bandleader – GHOST OF YESTERDAY: Shades of Lady Day a heartfelt tribute to Billie Holiday, to coincide with Lady Day's 102nd birth year

Conrad Warre

Born:
Warre, was in a high-school band in London, with Paul Kossoff, of the band Free, toured Europe with the English Beat and the Joe Jackson Band. He migrated from London to New York where he became a regular performer at the legendary CBGB’s. In Boston, he assembled Bees Deluxe, to pay homage to the music he fell in love with while touring and playing legendary London clubs like the Rainbow Theatre, Ronnie Scott's, Dingwalls, The Music Machine and the Moonlight Club. The band define their genre of music as “acid blues” with a layer of modern ‘funked up’ jazz. Bees Deluxe tour from Maine to Miami and as far west as the Cleveland House of Blues

Paul Jarret

Born and raised in Paris, France, Paul Jarret is a young guitarist and composer playing mostly jazz and improvised music. Playing the jazz standards as well as radical free improvisation, he is involved in many projects as a leader, a co-leader or a sideman.
In 2010 he has founded the band Pj5 which became his main project, a new kind of lyrical and modern jazz mixed with rock/pop sounds and improvised music. With this quintet he has been touring in France and Europe, won several awards (Jazz Migration #2, Jazz à La Défense 2012, and more), is very recognized by French jazz journalists and professionals and released three albums : WORD (2013), TREES (2016) and I TOLD THE LITTLE BIRD (2018).

Quentin Walston

Quentin Walston is an active pianist, educator, and author of How to Teach Jazz & Improvisation. His book equips music educators of all backgrounds to bring jazz into classrooms and lessons. He is also the founder of This Is Jazz, a company dedicated to jazz education and appreciation. Quentin Walston performs with his jazz trio and as a solo pianist, blending memorable melodies and striking rhythms with adventurous improvisations. His album Retro Future features original works inspired by masters from Thelonious Monk to Jason Moran. Through workshops and seminars for all ages covering jazz, composition, and music history, Quentin brings passionate expertise to jazz performance and education in any setting, classroom or concert hall.

Ash Luo

Ash Luo is a drummer, composer, producer and photographer. Her musical inspirations embrace Spiritual Jazz, Nu-Jazz, Jazz Fusion and Eastern music. In her composition, Luo values the flow of groove and melody, the melancholy and soul-provoking improvisation lines and rich texture of sounds. As every piece of music may generate imagery for her audience, she envisions combining photographs and visual arts for each of her releases, hoping to achieve an interdisciplinary result which touches the soul and spirit of her audience. Luo’s artistic trace started in China, where she was born and raised, developed in Boston, USA, where she pursued her Bachelor of Music degree in Performance at Berklee College of Music and forged in Valencia, Spain, where she obtained her Master of Music in Contemporary Performance and Production at Berklee College of Music

Jaehyun Cho
Born:
Jaehyun Cho was born and grew up in Seoul, South Korea. He began playing electric bass when he was seventeen. From 2008 to 2010, He served in the Korean Air Force band as a bassist and attended the international military band festival in Rotterdam, Netherlands as a member of Korean national military band in 2009. Although Jaehyun is a native of Seoul, South Korea, his career began when he moved to Los Angeles in 2012 and attended California State University, Northridge where he studied and performed with Gary Pratt, Dave Robaire. Gary Fukushima and Mike Mull among many others. In 2018, he moved to New York City, and he attended the masters program at NYU where he studied with Drew Gress, Billy Drummond, Ari Horning, Alan Ferber, Mike Rodriguez and Billy Drews

Amanda Suwondo

Originally from Yogyakarta, Indonesia, pianist Amanda Suwondo started learning keyboard at the age of five. She started learning classical music during high school, doing grades, and playing at church. She then took her career as a musician to the next level in 2010 when she moved to Sydney, Australia and got inspired by Judy Bailey who later became her mentor.
Amanda finished her bachelor degree in Jazz Performance at Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2016, learning under some Australia’s well-known jazz players such as, Judy Bailey, Matt McMahon, Steve Brien, Mike Rivett, Simon Barker, David Theak, Kevin Hunt and Mike Nock.
Amanda has been playing in a lot of different venues around Sydney and New South Wales, such as The Vanguard, Metro Theatre, Foundry 616, Johnston Street Jazz and Mary’s Underground playing her original music with her band

Lauren Lee

Born:
Lauren Lee is a forward-thinking vocalist, pianist, and composer based in New York City. A native of the St. Louis (MO) metropolitan area, her foray into creative music began as a teenager in the St. Louis Symphony Chorus, an experience that lead her on a wild goose chase of sorts to find her own sound in the adventurous music scene as a young innovator in a special brand of improvisation she calls “Vocal Instrumentalism”. Likened to female jazz pioneers that came before her like Carla Bley and Jen Shyu, Lee’s music has been described as, “equal parts hip jazz, avant adventure, and… something completely different” (John Pietaro, Dissident Arts)

Waxwing

Formed in 2007, Waxwing is a co-led group created by three veterans of the Vancouver music scene: Tony Wilson on guitar, Peggy Lee on cello and Jon Bentley on saxophones. The trio has released three studio recordings featuring their original compositions: "Flicker Down" (2021 Songlines Recordings) , "A Bowl Of Sixty Taxidermists" (2015 - Songlines Recordings), and "Escondido Dreams" (2007 - Drip Audio). The recipient of numerous Canada Council Grants, Waxwing has performed their unique works in concerts across Canada and has been a regular favourite in the Vancouver International Jazz Festival
