Jim Butler

Jim Butler, a native Californian, has been playing the saxophone for over 45 years. He focuses on modern and original jazz. The Jim Butler Jazz Group have recorded seven CDs: "Journeys" (2003); "Live in Tokyo!" (2005); "Night of a Thousand Years" (2009); "Postcards from the World" (2014); "Let’s Get Lost" (2019); "Perseverance" (2022); and "Short Stories" (2023).

Jim started out as a music educator, directing a jazz ensemble and teaching saxophone, woodwinds, and Jazz Studies at The University of North Florida. He has a Doctorate in Music from the University of Texas at Austin.  During this time he appeared professionally as a saxophonist with many different artists including Mel Torme, Crystal Gail, The Drifters, Rosemary Clooney, Tony Campesi, and Sam Moore.

Ken Stout is a veteran jazz/rock musician, director, educator, and studio musician performing Jazz, Blues, Rock, Classical, Latin, and all musical styles of music for over 43 years.  Ken founded Live Music Center in Vacaville in 1987, promoting,  advocating, and saving music arts education in the local public schools in Northern California until 2005.  Ken has toured, performed on stage and recorded with many legendary Jazz, Motown, and Rock Music artists and groups: The Live Lawrence Welk Show, The Cab Calloway Orchestra, Guy Lombardo Orchestra, Bobby Short Jazz Orchestra, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Mary Wilson and The Supremes, The Platters, The Contours, Jackie King(Willie Nelson guitarist), Pete Christilieb(Saxophonist, Natalie Cole), Mark Little(grammy nominee Pianist), Stan Marks(Trumpet, Stan Kentons Big Band), Mic Gillette(Tower of Power)and many others

Teri Parker

Teri Parker (MA, BMus) is a jazz pianist, composer, and bandleader based in Toronto, Canada. Born into a musical family, Parker gravitated towards the rich history and creative possibilities of jazz while still in high school; when it came time to apply for post-secondary schooling, she was accepted into the University of Toronto’s prestigious Jazz Studies program. It was at U of T that Parker had the opportunity to study with prominent educators who would prove foundational in her development as an artist, including celebrated instrumentalists and composers such as Dave Restivo, David Braid, and Phil Nimmons, Director Emeritus of Jazz Studies. After graduating from U of T, Parker continued her studies independently; as the winner of successive grants from the Ontario Arts Council and the Toronto Arts Council, she was able to continue learning with world-renowned artists in New York and Europe, including Sophia Rosoff, Aaron Goldberg, Guillermo Klein, Fred Hersch, and Enrico Pieranunzi.

Still young, she embarked on her journey into singing and guitar as an enthusiastic self-taught artist, driven by an unwavering passion for music.

Her career began in 1986, performing in various venues in Milan and Northern Italy as a singer and guitarist with a repertoire of renowned singer-songwriters and English and American bands such as Joni Mitchell and James Taylor, as well as English and Irish folk music with influences like The Pentangle.

She explored classical singing under the guidance of sopranos Edith Martelli, Mary Lindsay, and Eun Sun Park. Perfecting her vocal technique with the assistance of Andrea Tosoni and Monica Scifo, she immersed herself in the art of jazz through seminars led by luminaries such as Sara Serpa, Sheila Jordan, Kevin Mahogany, Rachel Gould, Patricia Williamson, Jeff Ramsey, and Dennis Montgomery. Additionally, she trained as an actress at the Studio Laboratorio dell'Attore and studied modern dance with Miguel Angel Cragnolini.

Kenny Reichert

Kenny Reichert is an award-winning guitarist, composer, bandleader, and educator whose innovative approach to the instrument has earned him recognition from DownBeat Magazine as “a distinctive player and composer.” Originally from Brookfield, Wisconsin, Reichert began his musical journey with piano, guitar, and organ before attending Berklee College of Music and later completing his studies in Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He holds a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from DePaul University and was honored as a 2022 Luminarts Cultural Foundation Jazz Improvisation Fellow.

Vai signed him to his Favoured Nations Acoustic label for the release of Colours in 2005. Larry Carlton expressed “James is an extraordinary talent that deserves to be heard.”

Eunmi Lee

Eunmi Lee is a New York-based Korean jazz pianist, composer, and educator who is fearless in experimenting with blending her cultural background with contemporary Jazz. At a young age, she discovered her love for music. She did her associate degree at the Seoul Institute of Arts in Korea.

After graduating, she worked as a professional musician in many different fields, including theater, bandstand, and media music in Korea. In 2016, she expanded her music horizon by studying and playing abroad during her Bachelor of Music degree in the Netherlands as a Jazz piano major with a Holland National Excellence scholarship.

Dominic Egli

Born in 1976, Dominic Egli started drumming in the brass band tradition befor studying with bassplayer Peter Frei, at the Swiss Jazz School with Billy Brooks, at the Drummer’s Collective in NYC, and with traditional drummers in Ghana. Touring and recording (over 60 albums) mostly as a sideman in cutting-edge jazzgroups (Mats-Up, Reto Suhner 4tet…) he also collaborated with many South African musicians and leads his own quintet PLURISM featuring trumpet player Feya Faku.

Hallgrim Bratberg

Hallgrim Bratberg (b. 1969) is a guitarist based in Oslo, Norway. He used to be a sideman for Norwegian singer/songwriters such as Kari Bremnes, Anne Grete Preus and Silje Nergaard, but these days his main focus is composing and performing his own music.
