Mike Eckroth

Mike Eckroth pianist and keyboardist, is a native of Phoenix Arizona and currently resides in Jackson Heights, NY. He is currently completing his PhD degree in jazz performance at NYU as well as leading and co-leading a number of projects in varied genres of music. Michael is currently preparing for release the album Piano and Rhythm with a cast of New York latin greats. Recently the group La Voz De Tres released the album Sueños Y Delirios. In recent years, Michael has participated in a number of recordings- including the first self-titled La Voz De Tres album, Ron McClure Quartet "Crunch Time", Travis Sullivan Quartet "New Directions", Greg Diamond "Shift", a live DVD filmed in Brazil with Paul McCandless and Alieksey Vianna, "Ebano", DEFtrio's debut album "Bushwicked", Kenny Shanker Quartet's "Steppin' Up", Giuseppe Milici's "Amarsi Un Po", Afromantra's "This Side of Mestisaje", Asuka Kakitani Jazz Orchestra's "Bloom", as well as the Chulo Records albums "Melaza" and "Peliroja"
