Musician

Trumpet and Flugelhorn Player Matthias Bergmann (born 1972 in Emden) moved to Cologne in 1997 after his studies at the Hilversum Conservatory/NL. He leads his own Quintett (CDs "All The Light" on Float Music and "Still Time" on Jazz4ever)and works in Duo Settings with Oliver Schroer on Churchorgan and Jürgen Friedrich on Piano. He also co-leads the Paul Heller-Matthias Bergmann Quintett as well as the Marcus Bartelt-Matthias Bergmann NDW Projekt and is a well booked sideman in the bands of Andreas Schnermann, Frank Sackenheim, Florian Ross, John Hondorp and many others.
