Mannheimer Schlagwerk

The Mannheimer Schlagwerk is the drum and percussion ensemble of the State University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim. The young musicians around Prof. Dennis Kuhn, who have the reputation of being a top ensemble, are characterized not only by their particularly wide range, but also by their precision and willingness to experiment, which is regularly admired. In the nineties, Prof. Dennis Kuhn initiated the “Mannheim Drum Night”, which has become a cult series, which began in the old fire station in Mannheim and has continued to exist under the name MANNHEIMER SCHLAGWERK PROJEKT.
