Luca Dell'Anna

Born:

By Jakob Bækgaard Italian pianist and composer Luca Dell’Anna was born on October 10, 1975 in Ferrara, a historical city with strong ties to jazz. He grew up listening to his father’s extensive record collection. Especially Ray Charles and Nat King Cole impressed him: “While I was listening to them singing, their licks and piano styles entered my memory forever.” His father also had a classical collection and Dell’Anna quickly fell in love with the music of J.S. Bach. As he approached the piano for the very first time, he quickly began improvising melodies in the style of Bach

Luca Dell'Anna Quartet: Human See, Human Do

Read "Human See, Human Do" reviewed by Neri Pollastri

Luca Dell'Anna: Mana

Read "Mana" reviewed by Angelo Leonardi

Luca Dell'Anna

Read "I 10 CD nel CD-Player di... Luca Dell'Anna" reviewed by Vincenzo Roggero

01. Clifford Brown--Brownie: The Complete EmArcy Recordings (Verve -1989).

Tan T’Ien: The Fourth Door

Read "The Fourth Door" reviewed by AAJ Italy Staff

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
