Luico Hopper

Luico Hopper (pronounced" Lou-e-co) grew up in Virginia to a musical family. His father played the guitar and both parents sang in the church choir. Luico's first instrument was the clarinet that he played throughout high school. He developed interest in the guitar around the age of twelve and taught himself to play after being inspired by his father's musicianship. He started playing the electric and acoustic bass during his freshman year in college. Hopper joined the Norfolk State College Jazz Ensemble remaining part of this group until graduating in 1974 with a B.A. in Sociology. After college, Hopper moved to New York City to become a professional musician

Kai Brant is an American producer, songwriter, and jazz singer. As a young child, her creative heart was immersed in the poetry of life, and she would spend many hours of the day writing her deepest thoughts. As a teenager, she continued these poetic thoughts alongside guitar. Being very shy, she adopted a brand new name, Kai Brant, which gave her the courage to present her poetry and music publicly. Jazz Vocalist Kris Russell was born and raised in Sacramento, California. As a teenager she discovered her passion for singing jazz music, but recalls singing from the early age of seven years old. While most of her friends were listening to folk and rock music, Kris was listening to and learning from her parents and their vast collection of jazz recordings. Both her parents were working jazz musicians, and together they formed the "Jerry Murphy Quartet" entertaining in and around Sacramento and Northern California for over 40 years. Born in the music capital Nashville, Tennessee, and reared in Bloomfield, Connecticut Habaka was positively impacted by the constant influences of world-renowned talent during her formative years. Coming from a musical family her father Melvin Jackson was tenor saxophonist for the legendary B.B. King and her mother Mary Ann Jackson was also a jazz vocalist and dancer who traveled extensively in bands that included Elvis Presley
