Jud Sherwood

Jud Sherwood founded The Jazz Project in 1997 to promote jazz from a player’s perspective. As a professional jazz drummer he has worked with musicians from around the world including John Stowell, Nancy King, Kevin Mahogany, Jennifer Scott, Rene Worst, Miles Black, (and the late) Herb Ellis, Teddy Edwards, and Bill Perkins among many others. Jud has been producing concerts in Bellingham since 1992. He is a two-time recipient of the Mayor’s Arts Award, receiving his second one in 2006. The organization receives funding from the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities to present regional, national, and international touring artists
