Joshua Jennings

Trumpeter, Composer/Arranger, and Bandleader Joshua Jennings is a young and upcoming trumpet hailing from Jamaica, Queens. He got his start at Catherine and Count Basie Middle School in 6th grade. He continued his studies in music at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Middle School and High School Jazz academies from 2015 – 2020. In 2020 Joshua went to The University of North Texas. While there he won the Young Arts Merit award his freshman year for his performance on trumpet. In his third year of studies, Joshua won the Detroit Jazz Festival Collegiate Combo competition, and his group earned a slot to perform at the 2023 Detroit Jazz Festival
