Josemi Carmona

Josemi Carmona, a Madrid-born musician and one of the most influential figures
in Spanish music, is a benchmark artist in both flamenco and guitar performance, as well
as the heir to an artistic legacy spanning four generations.

He began playing guitar at the age of three and joined Ketama when he was only four-
teen years old. As a member of this pioneering “nuevo llamenco” group, he performed
on international stages worldwide and helped the band surpass one million records sold.
At fifteen, he took part in the American tour of Flamenco Puro, performing alongside
legendary flamenco artists such as Farruco, Chocolate, Adela de Chaquetas, and El Güito.
