Dhevdhas Nair

I grew up listening to a wide variety of music. My mother, who was Indian, loved Beethoven Bach and Mozart, my dad who was English, was into Wagner, Bach, the Beatles, and Indian classical music. When I was a kid he used to take me to the all night Indian music concerts at the Albert Hall in London which had a big effect on me. Not just absorbing the form of the music, which starts slowly without rhythm, drawing you in in a psychologically expert way, and the virtuosity of the playing, but also observing the unique atmosphere in the hall, the relaxed but focused attention of the audience

Evilena Protektore

Born: November 14, 1984

Evilena Protektore is a jazz singer from Latvia, graduated from Jazz Department of Jazeps Vitols Latvian Academy of Music with a Masters degree and has stayed there as a jazz vocal teacher. Has spent a year studying in Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia (Italy) with prof. Maria Pia de Vito and taking part in a vast amount of projects with local musicians, and half a year in Hannover (Germany) with prof. Romy Camerun. In 2016 received a Nic Gotham prize for the contribution to jazz music and jazz life in Latvia. Participated in various festivals and projects: “Jazz in Latvia” compilation album, “Pori Jazz” (Finland), “Limassol Jazz” (Cyprus), “Live in Blue Bay” (Ukraine); and contests: Riga Jazz Stage (Latvia), “Nomme Jazz” (Estonia) and got a Grand Prix award at “JazzVoices 2014” (Lithuania). Evilena has collaborated with Lynn Seaton (USA), Rob Duguay (CA), Inga Berzina (Latvia), Serge Junior Robinson (United Kingdom), Tommaso Troncon (Italy), Fil Straughan (UK), Andreas Stefanou (Cyprus), Andreas Rodostenos (Cyprus), Nicolas Tryphonos (Cyprus), Leonid Nesterov (Cyprus), Tie Pereira (Brazil), Aviv Kohen (Israel), Gilad Abro (Israel), Anne Geertsen (DK), Onur Mulayim (TR), Gianmarco Tommai (IT), Federico Santoni (IT), K.Trio (NL). Since 2005 Evilena is a vocalist, composer and leader in Latvian funk band "Pieneņu Vīns", together with this ensemble has participated in a vast amount of festivals and events, gaining a solid place on Latvian music scene

Jeff Swanson

Born: February 27, 1988

Guitarist Jeff Swanson has made his unique voice and open mind a valued part of Chicago’s diverse music scene. A strong player in many disciplines, he has been featured at the Chicago Jazz Festival, Hyde Park Jazz Festival, Iowa City Jazz Festival, Chicago Gospel Festival. Case-fitter, is Swanson’s first original full-length release. It was recorded over four weeks in April 2017 during a residency at The Whistler in Chicago. Each week the group used a set repertoire and added members to its core trio, exploring a different experience each week and concluding with the final recorded performance as an octet. Born in Brasília, Brazil, Maurício de Souza is a professional jazz drummer who easily performs in both traditional jazz and Brazilian jazz styles. De Souza was a pupil of world renowned jazz drummer Joe Morello. Coming from a musical family, de Souza began playing drums at age eleven. His early interest in complex music led him to explore numerous styles ranging from progressive rock, to classical music, to jazz. Andy Firth

Andy Firth started his performance career at the age of 14 when he appeared around South Australia featuring in small groups and big bands. By 17 Andy had moved to Adelaide and co-founded his first band The BBC Trio and later the BBC Quartet, Andy Firth’s reputation as one of Australia’s most outstanding jazz talents was further endorsed with his appearances on ABC, channel 7,9 and 10 television shows, The Burrows Collection, Sunday, Hey, Hey it’s Saturday, Clive Robertson’s News World and The Midday Show with Ray Martin. Massimo Colombo, born in 1961 in Milano, is a composer, arranger, pianist who got a diploma in piano at “Conservatorio G. Verdi” of Milano. Ms Krckova was exposed to all kinds of music very early in life. Then, at the age of six, she started to study music theory and play the accordion and shortly afterwards the piano, too. Her studies of modern dance as well as participation in choirs made her dive very deeply into music in every possible ways, founding a great love for writing music but also experimenting as a choreographer.
