Ernest Melton was born in Goldsboro, NC. He relocated to Kansas City, MO (his mother's hometown) at age 10. He picked up the sax that same year when he was enrolled in Longfellow Academy. Bored with the classical curriculum of that institution. Ernest studied more contemporary genres of music and the guitar until the age of 14 when he joined his first jazz program through the American Jazz Museum. By then he was playing mostly tenor sax. He joined his jazz band at Lincoln High School and many other programs around Kansas City. Naturally excelling, he left school at age 16 to practice on his own

Santiago Bosch is a pianist/keyboardist/composer born and raised in Barquisimeto (Venezuela) in 1987. In 2015, He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music (Bachelor of Music, Performance). In 2017, he graduated Suma Cum Laude (Master of Music, Contemporary Jazz Performance) at the prestigious Berklee Global Jazz Institute. He earned a full tuition scholarship from Berklee College of Music for both programs. He has participated as a sideman and bandleader in a variety of venues and jazz festivals. The Scottish National Jazz Orchestra (SNJO) is considered by many to be one of the UK’s foremost contemporary big bands. Founder/Director and leading saxophonist Tommy Smith established the SNJO in 1995 with a crystal clear artistic vision and core values of versatility, discipline and expression.

Since its inception more than twenty years ago, many of the leading lights in world jazz have enthusiastically shared the stage with the SNJO. People like Gary Burton, Arild Andersen, Branford Marsalis, Joe Locke, Makoto Ozone, Mike Stern and Kurt Elling have all joined the orchestra to explore virtually every room in the house of jazz.

Gianfranco Menzella

Born: June 27, 1978

Born in Matera in 1978, Gianfranco Menzella gained the degree in saxophone in 2000 at the Conservatory "E.Duni" in Matera, with Maestro Vito Soranno , getting the highest marks with honors. In 2004 he also gained the degree in jazz music at the Conservatory "T.Schipa" in Lecce, with Maestro Luigi Bubbico. He has taken part in several national and international contests, getting nine first prizes and three second prizes. He has played with:  Steve Grossman, Fabrizio Bosso, Randy Brecker, Mike Rosen, Eric Marienthal, Jerry Bergonzi, Tom Kennedy, Kenny Werner, Eddie Henderson, John Allred, Duffy Jackson, Gabriele Mirabassi, Alfonso Deidda, Franco D’Andrea, Roy Paci, Mike Supnick, Ada Rovatti, Rosario Giuliani, Enrico Intra, Tommaso Scannapieco, Achille Succi, Marco Tamburini, Eric Daniels, Italian Big Band, Francesca Tourè.. He has been directed by the conductors Nicola Samale, Marco Frisina, Giuseppe Garbarino.
