Leonard Maxson

Leonard Maxson (Drummer-based in rudimental drumming) Toured the USA, Canada, & Mexico backing many groups and bands doing show work, jazz, rock, blues, pop, & country then did the Nevada - California casino circuit for 6 years backing all styles of music in several bands. After many years of this settled in the Portland area forming the group Lisa & The Persons Three (Lisa Gale, Larry Adair, Ken Lomax,Leonard Maxson) lasting 5 years. Obtained a BA in Music Education and became a public high school band director teaching in Oregon for15 years. Presently returned to performance first backing shows, with jazz sets in between, on the cruise ship The Columbia Queen for a season; on the road was part of Magic Jerry and The Mojo Men, The Frantic Mystics, Take Three, Linda Leigh and The Lads, Southside Jazz Band, Susan and The Sound System, The Tokyo Playmates, Diamond Lil Show, The Riverboat Gamblers, and others.

Frank Vitolo

Sonic Scientist and Music Expressionist, Frank Vitolo was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest with a saxophone in his mouth. He is currently residing in Brooklyn, New York after attaining his masters in Jazz Studies at New York University having been awarded a prestigious Steinhart Talent Award Scholarship and The Barney Josephson Award. At NYU, He’s Frank has had the opportunity to study with New York jazz luminaries such as, Dave Liebman, Chris Potter, Tony Moreno, Ari Hoenig, Wayne Krantz, Rich Perry and Dave Pietro.

Scotty Wright

Born: November 5, 1954

Jazz vocalist Scotty Wright is a veteran musician with over 30 years experience. One can hear the entire spectrum of jazz singing in his performances.  With a warm, rich-toned voice and tremendous range, Scotty possesses a unique sound that is deeply rooted in the jazz tradition. His style reflects his harmonic sophistication, playful rhythmic approach and his insightful phrasing of the lyric. His first recording, 'Too Much Fun!', was listed among the best jazz albums of the year in USA Today and the New York Daily News, earning Scotty a place in the DownBeat magazine's critics' poll, as a Talent Deserving Wider Recognition

John Lyden

Born: March 8, 1969

I have a masters in music in theory and composition from Trenton State College. I have been active in original rock bands in the 1980s and since the 1990s small jazz groups on piano as well as my preferred instrument electric fretless bass. I have performed around the greater New Jersey / New York area. My current quartet of guitar, bass, drums and vocals is now pursuing gigs. We play standards as well as modern jazz.

HANKA G

Born: April 28, 1980

HANKA G is a New York-based jazz, soul, R&B, world music, and gospel singer & lyricist originally from Slovakia, growing up in the Mongolian desert. Considered one of the most talented jazz singers of the present times with her powerfully sensitive, gospel-filled voice, she is the rising star in the US and world jazz scene, fusing Slovak folk music with jazz, R&B, soul & gospel, and performing with her band all over the world. HANKA is a soulful singer who stretches the boundaries of jazz with her multi-cultural sensibilities masterfully fusing Slovak folk music with jazz, soul, and gospel music. She transcends any sort of limitations that the designation "jazz sings" might put on her. HANKA has been acknowledged by her mentor Cassandra Wilson as "The Best of the Next Generation".

Thomas Palance

Thomas Palance is known for his versatility as a trumpet player and innovative teacher. Tom started The Orchestra On The Hill in 2007 with five members. Since then, the orchestra has grown to a full professional ensemble delighting audiences with unique concerts. Tom retired from the US Navy Band in Washington DC after 20 years of service where he was the named "The most versatile trumpet player in the US Navy."

At the band Tom held positions of assistant principal trumpet and soloist with the concert band, and soloist with The Commodores Jazz Band. In 2005 Tom relocated to Ipswich, MA with his family where he is a freelance trumpet player, composer, conductor and teacher. Tom has served on the faculty at The Boston Conservatory, The University of New Hampshire and Salem State University and is now a professor at The Berklee College of Music.

Aram Sinnreich

Aram Sinnreich is a bassist, composer and multi-instrumentalist based in the Washington, DC area. He writes and perform music in a wide variety of styles, from jazz to reggae to punk to R&B. He has served as bassist and/or composer for artists and groups including Ari Up, Vivien Goldman, The Specialized Project, Low Lily, Hans Nieswandt, Agent 99, King Django, The Rooftoppers, The Tributary Project, Artsouca, and Cheick Hamala Diabate. His own musical projects include: world music duo Dunia & Aram (GMO Records), reggae soul band Dubistry, and progressive neo-soul collective Brave New Girl

James H Durchslag

Born: April 2, 1948

Jimmy is an accomplished musician, band leader, composer and arranger. Jimmy leads the six piece Latin Jazz and salsa band, The Latin Peppers, which plays at numerous venues, festivals and gatherings throughout Humboldt County and the Northcoast of California. Jimmy is the Director of the Jazz and Latin ensembles at the Lark Music Camp, a gathering of over 700 performers in the Mendocino Woodlands every summer. He has played with numerous ensembles during his over 50 years in Humboldt County, including Ponche!, Humboldt Time, Rod and the Ideals, the Garberville Town Band, Kachimbo, Planet 4, Crossroads, and the Pastime Silent Movie Orchestra
