Miguel Tarin Torres

Miguel Tarin Torres is a bassist and composer based in NE Ohio. Born and raised in San Luis Potosi, Mexico in the year 2000, he started studying bass at the age of twelve years old, leading up to eventually teach music in his high school as well as individual lessons out of his home. Miguel developed his primordial musical foundation based on funk music as well as rock and latin rhythms, whilst always loving electronic music of all sorts.
Miguel moved to Ohio in October of 2017 to further pursue his musical education and to hone his chops and compositional skills as well as playing with local musicians and groups such as Free Black!, Matthew Alec and The Soul Electric, Mango Man and The Funketeers, Most Wanted Vibes, among others. His main focus now is trying to connect the dots between all the genres and musical nuances that have influenced him and sew them into one cohesive musical experience that he can call his own.

Dhafer Youssef is the Tunisian Oud master, vocalist and composer born on November 19th, 1967, in the Tunisian fishing village Teboulba. He grew up in a modest family, coming from a long line of muezzins. Mastering vocal potentials stands as a heritage and a family tradition.
At an early age, his grandfather initiates him to Quranic recitals in which he discovers his vocal potential. Dhafer Youssef starts singing the songs played on his mother’s radio set. His mother’s kitchen becomes his first experimental laboratory. At the age of 6, he discovers the resonance of his voice in his village’s Hammam. This fascinating discovery nourishes his ardent juvenile curiosity: Young Dhafer discovers his favorite toy.

Brazilian vibist Lucas Amorim has established himself as an exciting bandleader and in-demand sideman on the New York scene.
Lucas was born in Florianopolis, Brazil and began studying drums at the early age of 8 and soon was playing at local clubs and at recording sessions also appearing on television and radio programs multiple times.
In 2011, looking for better opportunities Lucas moved to Sao Paulo and was admitted into the prestigious "Conservatory of Tatui" for the Symphonic Percussion program. In his second semester of study Lucas competed at the institution’s percussion championship winning first place which caught the local community's attention. While at the conservatory Lucas started to study improvisation and jazz vibraphone by himself and soon became an in-demand band leader and sideman.

He first started playing saxophone in the Prince George County public school system but later refined his craft at Howard University under the mentorship of the renowned saxophonist and educator Charlie Young III and pianist Cyrus Chestnut, all while being shaped by the diverse cultural influences of Washington D.C.
