Caracas Trio

Caracas Trio is a Venezuelan ensemble based in New York, blending Afro-Venezuelan rhythms with jazz improvisation and modern expression. Formed by Gabriel Chakarji, Juan Diego Villalobos, and Daniel Prim, the group originated in Caracas, where the three first connected through Venezuela’s vibrant music scene. Reuniting in NYC, they formed a trio with vibraphone, keyboards, and drums, crafting music that’s rhythmically complex, melodically inventive, and rooted in the evolving spirit of Venezuelan folk traditions.
