Joel August

Growing up in the '60s and '70s Joel was influenced by the the music of the day Santana, David Gilmore and Peter White. His first two Albums Dream and Distant Shores were inspired by the landscapes of his travels through life. Currently playing in Manhattan and Brooklyn his New Release Scarsdale 45 represents a new direction in Smooth jazz.

Mathias Sandberg

He has been called "one of Finland's best kept secrets", the highly acclaimed but criminally under-recorded guitarist and composer Mathias Sandberg is one of the hardest working jazz musicians in the country. For the past 15 years, he has been touring with some of the greatest jazz artist on the Finnish and Swedish jazz scene, including Georg Riedel, Pierre Swärd, Peter Asplund, Nick Mancini, Jukka Eskola, Teppo Mäkynen, Manuel Dunkel and many others. Born in Jakobstad on the west coast of Finland, Sandberg started playing guitar at the age of eleven and landed a teaching job at the main music school in the region just five years later

Albin Vesterberg

Albin Vesterberg (born in 1992) is a Swedish guitar player working in the field of jazz and improvised music. After finishing his Bachelor's Degree at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm in 2016 he moved to Hamburg, Germany where he earned his Master's Degree at the Dr. Langner Jazz Master at HfMT in 2018. Albin is currently working in a few different constellations including: Gustav Broman/Albin Vesterberg duo, SPIIC Ensemble, Graupe/Vesterberg/Roth, BAMM and Vincent Dombrowski Trio. He has performed in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands and France, both as soloist and with musicians like: David Stackenäs, Gustav Broman, Vlatko Kucan, Ronny Graupe, Anna-Lena Schnabel and Lauren Newton.

Erhan Ersin

Guitarist & Composer Istanbul born Turkish guitarist and composer, starting on classical guitar at the age of 15. Then rock and jazz in the following years. At the age of 16, starting to play with his high school band and won the “Best Perfroming Band of Turkey” award in a nationwide music competition. After his intensive study of guitar and composition as self-taught musician, he moved to England to improve his musical talent at the age of 19. Afterwards musical journey continued in Germany and France. Over the years, he performed as accomplished musician in Europe by playing together with bands and styles like jazz, big band, rock, blues, funk, soul, new age, aiming to expand his musical vision

Chris Buono

Chris Buono makes music with a guitar and lots of pedals. As a leader Chris heads the genre-bending organ trio cB3 featuring Ben Stivers and Tobias Ralph. Chris is the founder and co-writer for the progressive math funk project RedRightReturn that includes Tippan Phasuk, Justin Stanton, Evan Marien and Alex Silvergold. Both cB3 and RedRightReturn are releasing debut albums in late 2019/early 2020. Chris also plays with cult legends, James Chance & The Contortions.

As a sideman and/or guest soloist Chris Buono has performed and/or recorded with Dweezil Zappa, Snarky Puppy, Bumblefoot, Karsh Kale, Graham Haynes, David Fiuczynski, Oz Noy, Keith Carlock, Rodney Holmes, Steve Jenkins, Tony Grey, Dave Martone, Sophia Ramos, Dopapod, Consider the Source, Kung Fu, Jazz if PHSH and many more. As an educator Chris has taught guitarists from all over the world through Berklee College of Music, TrueFire, Guitar Player, Guitar One, Just Jazz Guitar, Hal Leonard, Alfred, Course Technology & Guitarinstructor.com among others

MUSICIAN Born:

Arcangelo Pezzella

Arcangelo Pezzella is the founder, guitarist, arranger, composer and leader of the AP Project, a modern jazz band from Italy. He's currently a student of the Conservatory of Naples (IT) - Jazz Guitar Degree programme - while caring all aspects of his musical projects. The AP Project's debut release is "Out Of The Blue", a sonic journey that explores a world of sounds in jazz.

Manolo Pereira

Born in Seville. Since the beginning of his adolescence he has felt a great interest in music and the guitar in particular, which makes him begin in the world of the six strings and start playing in rock groups. Recordings and live performances that led to the composition and recording of some headers for TV programs. From the discovery of jazz, his interest and continuous training in the Conservatory of Seville and the Musicians Workshop of Madrid in temporary stays in the capital of Madrid. At the same time, he is part of popular music groups that travel around Andalusia. After studying with the master Fran Mazuelos is when his vision of music, jazz, harmony and creativity takes another dimension and his musical and personal north turn 180 degrees. After a fleeting trip to NYC is when he starts on a more personal project that includes his vision and original music.

Russ Spiegel

Russ Spiegel was born in Los Angeles, and raised in Santa Monica, California. While in high school he moved with his family to Germany and traversed back and forth between there and the US for a number of years. While in Europe, he established himself as an award-winning, in-demand musician, touring the Continent with various ensembles, performing at well-known Jazz festivals, and appearing on numerous television and radio shows. In 2001, Russ returned to the US, settling in the mecca of New York and quickly found himself busy on the music scene. Alongside performing - from solo guitar to running his ensemble The Russ Spiegel Jazz Orchestra (a 17-piece band featuring Russ's compositions and arrangements)

Victor Samalot

“LATIN JAZZ WITH A ROCK EDGE, THE ULTIMATE IN COOL!” (Rotcod Zzaj - Improvijazzation Nation) Victor Samalot is a 25 + year veteran guitarist from Cleveland Ohio who draws on his Latin roots fusing timeless Latin groove with Jazz stylings topped with a rock edge that appeals to listeners of world fusion music. Imagine a jam session with the likes of Carlos Santana, Wes Montgomery and Jeff Beck. Fresh and contemporary, Victor’s musical adventure keeps him quite busy performing and in the studio. His influences include Ottmar Liebert, Craig Chaquico, Jesse Cook, Phil Keaggy Jose Feliciano, and David Gilmour

Derek Bomback

Derek Bomback brings a distinctive voice to jazz guitar. His career has taken him all over the world with performances on six of the seven continents. Vocalist Jay Jackson has said of Bomback’s playing: “Displayed a soulful patience that you don’t often find…” Bomback’s music combines influences from American and European jazz, to bring a fresh sound to his sophisticated, yet melodic playing. Derek studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he received dual degrees in Jazz Composition and Guitar Performance in 2010. Shortly after moving back to Los Angeles, he was hired by Princess Cruise Lines where he is currently one of the company’s musical directors.
