Tokyo Skinny Boys

Tokyo Skinny Boys is a Japan-based jazz fusion project founded by guitarist, songwriter, and producer Tom Ishizuka.

Blending jazz fusion, funk, soul, blues, and city-pop influences, the project creates a distinctive sound that combines sophisticated musicianship with contemporary urban grooves inspired by modern Tokyo.

Tokyo Skinny Boys has collaborated with internationally acclaimed musicians, including Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Bob Mintzer of Yellowjackets. The project's recordings feature rich harmonic textures, memorable melodies, and a fusion of traditional jazz sensibilities with modern production approaches.

EMP Project

William Ellis, Joseph Patrick Moore and Shawn Perkinson first met while attending the University of Tennessee in Knoxville between the years of 1989-1994.

While attending U.T.K., William Ellis, Joseph Patrick Moore and Shawn Perkinson would play regularly together in a variety of settings. Upon graduating U.T.K. their opportunities and talents would lead each of them to different parts of the United States and abroad. While they would keep in touch, they wouldn't play together again for many years. That all changed in 2002, when EMP Project assembled together for the first time in more than a decade. They captured this magical meeting on their self-titled debut CD,"E.M.P. Project" released in 2003.

Simon Côté-Lapointe

Born: 1980

Simon Côté-Lapointe is a pianist, keyboardist, composer, improviser, videographer, and Ph.D. in information science with a specialization in archival science.

His professional career as a keyboardist and composer began with the contemporary music group Rouge Ciel around 1998. Between 2000 and 2003, during his studies in mixed composition at the Université de Montréal, he played and composed for several other projects such as Malarafe, the Virâj ensemble, and the Mouvement de Musique Présente, while also exploring electroacoustic music.

Between 2003 and 2009, Simon collaborated with a plethora of musicians, either as a composer, arranger, or performer. Notable collaborations include L’agence du swing by Claude Vendette, drummer Namori Cissé, and the rock band Madcaps. Between 2005 and 2010, he composed and produced four albums: “Conjuration” (electronic music), “Suite extatique” (contemporary music), “Artsuohtaraz” (for jazz quintet), and an eponymous double album (contemporary jazz and mixed music). From 2019 onwards, Simon has played and composed for several projects: Trio Lapointe-Hébert-Gagné (jazz), Taxon Lazare (organ trio), Chanteuse (jazz-post-funk), and Horizons (sax/piano duo, with Erik Hove). In 2020, he released three solo piano albums. A fourth improvisation album was released in 2023. In 2024, he completed Topochronies, a fresco of progressive music exploring Quebec’s collective subconscious through sound archives, created in collaboration with drummer Magella Cormier. In May 2025, during a four-week creative residency at the Centre d’expérimentation musicale (CEM) in Chicoutimi, he composed and realized Préhensions des strates de sédimentation historique saguenéennes, a mixed music performance for eight musicians and sequences with archives exploring Chicoutimi’s history through oral and historical archives. In January 2026, he launched an ambitious six-album solo piano cycle: three double albums titled Hapax (volumes 1 and 2), Ataraxie (volumes 1 and 2), and Animus/Anima (volumes 1 and 2), totaling nearly six hours of music ranging from medieval music to jazz, including baroque, classical, contemporary, and current repertoires.

Chris Aschman

Born: March 1, 1986

Trumpeter/steelpan musician Chris Aschman enjoys a multi-faceted career as a performer, educator, studio musician, and arranger. Currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area, he brings a special versatility to the many ensembles he performs with. 

A Baltimore native, Chris segued to Philadelphia to study jazz trumpet at the University of the Arts with John Swana and George Rabbai in 2004. Since this time he has enjoyed a diverse career, having shared the stage with Paquito D’Rivera, Stanley Clarke, Aretha Franklin, Dionne Warwick, Bakithi Kumalo, Chaka Khan, Kool and the Gang, Andy Narell, Guster, Father John Misty, The O’Jays, The Boxtops, G Love and Special Sauce, Lotus, Dopapod, Tauk, and many others. He has performed at venues such as Philadelphia's Verizon Hall, The National Cathedral in Washington DC, the Queens Park Savannah in Port of Spain Trinidad, Iridium (NYC), Smalls (NYC), The Jazz Standard (NYC), The Herbst Theatre (SF), August Hall (SF), The Independent (SF), The Black Cat (SF), Yoshi's Oakland, and more. 

Krystof Medyna

Born: April 18, 1949

KRYSTOF (Krzysztof) MEDYNA was born on April 18, 1949, in Jelenia Góra. He displayed musical talent from childhood. He grew up in a family with a long musical tradition. His grandfather, Aleksander Szwarc, was the conductor of the Representative Orchestra of the Polish Army. His mother studied piano at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music but did not complete her studies due to the outbreak of war.

Krzysztof initially studied piano, then clarinet. He quickly became interested in jazz. Like most of his generation, he explored the mysteries of this music through Willis Conover's famous radio broadcasts, the Voice of America Jazz Hour. He learned his musical skills from a group of Szczecin jazz musicians.

Milos Bosnic

Miloš Bosnić is a Serbian bassist, composer, and bandleader based in Belgrade. He is the founder of Bosque Sound Community (BSC), a jazz-fusion/world-jazz ensemble recognized for blending modern jazz language with cinematic storytelling, strong rhythmic identity, and genre-crossing arrangements.

He studied double bass at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade, completed a Higher National Diploma in Jazz Bass Guitar & Music Production at the London Centre of Contemporary Music (LCCM), and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Audio & Video Design at the School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science in Belgrade.

Declan Sheehy-Moss

Born: July 19, 2000

Declan Sheehy-Moss is a genre-bending multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer, and mixed-media artist born and raised in New York City. Dipping his fingers (and ears) in everything, Declan blends jazz, pop, funk, electronic, and more to produce a searing fusion of sound.

Declan’s digital production and recording skills along with his instrumental and technical prowess combine to create a digital and acoustic mix, supported by analog synths, EWI, and the other quirky instruments assembled at his home studio in Brooklyn, NY.

Since 2017 Declan has since written, produced, recorded, mixed, and released 8 singles and two EPs, also working as a sideman for numerous other artists’ records and live shows such as Redveil, Henry Threadgill, Cisco Swank, Khal!l, Talia Goddess, Twinbrother, and many more. Declan has also performed at a number of renowned venues in the US, such as BAM, The Jazz Gallery, Newport Jazz Fest, Symphony Space, Monterey Jazz Fest, and more.

Atempo

Atempo is an Israeli modern jazz piano trio formed in 2020 by pianist Itay Abramovitz, bassist Alon Stern and drummer Yoav Lachovitsky.

The trio creates original instrumental music rooted in jazz improvisation and shaped by Mediterranean, Balkan, Latin, African and Middle Eastern influences. At the center of Atempo’s music is the close conversation between piano, electric bass and drums, combining lyrical melodies, rhythmic movement and collective improvisation.

Over the years, the trio has developed a distinctive musical language that its members describe as the Atempo sound. Rather than simply placing different styles side by side, Atempo transforms its diverse influences into a unified language of its own. Lyrical melodies, unexpected rhythmic patterns, collective improvisation and the warm, grounded sound of the electric bass create music that can feel intimate and contemplative in one moment, and energetic and driven by groove in the next.

Quadrature

Quadrature is a musical powerhouse that redefines sonic frontiers with their electric blend of raga, rock, jazz and psychedelia. Rooted in deep musical traditions, yet soaring into uncharted territories, the band crafts soundscapes that defy laws of genre, space and time. They feature the magnetic sitar/effects of Neel Murgai, the experimental Firebird trumpet/effects of Indofunk Satish, the structural rhythm of Tripp Dudley on drum set, and the electric grooves of Damon Banks on bass.
