Paul Weitz

Paul Weitz hails from Buffalo, NY and has been a professional musician for more than 30 years. Paul studied Classical Guitar at the University of Buffalo under Oswald Rantucci, Mike Andriaccio and Joel Perry. He studied jazz guitar under Andy Roemer and Frank Gerrard. Still in Buffalo, he studied composition and arranging under Russ Mesina. In Los Angeles he studied guitar under Ted Greene and Sid Jacobs. His major influences include Barney Kessell, Ed Bickert and Lenny Breau. Paul has played with notables Sam Most, Jimmy Wyble, Barry Zweig, and the Lettermen. He holds a BS Degree in Software Engineering from Cal Lutheran University. Paul performs throughout the Los Angeles area as Solo, Duo (with bass), Trio and Quartet; most often with jazz vocalist Donna Deussen. His debut CD "THE PAUL WEITZ TRIO" with Gus Duffy - drums and Matt VanBenschoten - bass, was released in the Spring of 2010

Brian Moran

Equally at home in both jazz and latin guitar styles, Brian Moran is one of the Bay Area's more versatile and accomplished musicians. Since graduating from Berklee College of Music in 1998, Brian has made the San Francisco Bay Area his home, where he maintains an active performance and teaching schedule. Brian began his study of the guitar in 1987, beginning with rock guitar, and later focused exclusively on jazz for 10 years, in which time he led the Blowout Sextet, composing and performing original music and releasing the CD "The Supporting Theory" to rave reviews. Since 2001, Brian has dedicated much of his time to the study of 7 string jazz guitar, Spanish and Brazilian guitar, Brazilian cavaquinho and bandolim; and includes classical, Brazilian music, and flamenco in his diverse repertoire

Dan Coy began actively playing in Atlanta in the mid 1970's with bands like Blessed Relief, Windows, Unit Structure and Polydor recording artists, Early Warning System. In the 1980's the Dan Coy Band was formed and began performing regularly at the Cafe 290, Claude's, Club 131, The Point, RCI Cafe and Fat Tuesdays. Creative Loafing readers voted the Dan Coy Band best Jazz band in Atlanta several years in a row. John Magnante

Born:

John graduated from Oswego State with a minor in music performance. While at Oswego, he studied with guitarist Rick Balestra and was a featured soloist in the school's highly acclaimed "Solid State Jazz Ensemble." He also studied guitar at the musicians Institute of Technology in Los Angeles. Most recently he has studied with Johnathan Kriesberg and is an avid follower of the new school of modern jazz guitar playing. John is a co-founder of ESP as well as a major contributor of the groups original compositions. In addition to his responsibilities with ESP, he has performed with such bands as Atlas and Soft Spoken.
